I have no clue whether to move this to health or fashion, man. I'm moving it to health.

Anyways, my friend pierced his lip himself and he told me he used a 14-gauge needle. You'll need to make sure everything's sterilized.

Hm. I'd read through this: http://www.bmezine.com/pierce/05-lips/A70504/lipdiyla.html or http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_pierce_your_own_lip

Google search this before you hurt yourself, plz.

You can order piercing needles online from tattoo supply websites.
You can also buy them from Tractor Supply because they use the same kind of needles to pierce Cows ears. They are cheaper there.

If I were you I'd go to someone that knows what they are doing, though.

Ice, ice, ice. I'd suggest that you to someone who knows what they are doing, though, to avoid hurting yourself or messing it up and getting stuck with scartissue.

^ like keloid scars... those are nasty... you risk that big time.
I suggest going to a professional. Sure they are expensive but its better to have them do it then have you do it your self. You might pierce it wrong, hit a vein and blood everywhere. Possible infection. Or pierce it right but still get a infection from the needle being dirty.
if not that then afterwards. A lot of cleaning would have to be involved to make sure that it doesn't get infected and swell.
