QUOTE
Eighteen-year-old rapper Soulja Boy recently made some alarming comments when he was interviewed by journalist Toure for BET's The Black Carpet.

Soulja Boy was asked by Toure which historical figure he hates most. And according to Toure's blog, when Soulja Boy appeared to be caught off guard by the question, Toure threw out some previous answers which included Hitler, Bin Laden, and slave masters.

Here is how Soulja Boy then responded to the question, "Oh wait! Hold up! Shout out to the slave masters! Without them we'd still be in Africa. We wouldn't be here to get this ice and tattoos."

Although I'm not defending Soulja in this particular instance, he technically has a point. If we weren't shipped over here, who knows what could have possibly happened. Especially as far as music, the African American race has made some of the most influential music since our transition from Africa to America, and ironically they are the popular genres people listen to today:

1. Rock
2. Rap
3. R&B
4. Techno
5. Jazz
6. etc.

And to all those people who say they don't listen to black music, what do you listen to? Classical?

As far as I'm concerned, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, the african american race is responsible for revolutionizing music. I mean you got K-Rap and K-pop and all that, which basically originated here.

If I'm out of line here, I'm sorry. I'm pro-black. I just keep it to myself.
