ok...i hav a big problem with food. i LOVE it. everyday at school i eat a big value box of buncha crunch, hohos, fries, whatever the entree is at lunch, and usually like some m&ms or something. this is EVERY SINGLE DAY. also i hav a nesquik milkshake and a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast. all together, plus the stuff i eat at home, i eat about 300% of my recommended fat intake or whatever. my friends are constantly telling me what a fatass i am and how all this food will catch up to me, but i pretty much ignore them. the fat just seems to go away after eating it, since im an athlete and work out every day. anyway, do any of you hav any advice for me??? i really want to stop eating this way.
also, i mooch constantly. i probably owe my friends a couple hundred dollars apiece. any ideas on how i can stop doin it??? thanks!

Eat your proper meal reeeeeeeally slow and try to busy yourself with something other than eating. I used to snack a lot at home but now I just have shitloads of work to do so I don't even have time to think about it.

The problem is actually finding a girl that can actually keep her figure while eating that amount of junk food.
Wait, I take that back, there are tons of girls that keep their figure while eating junk food. Girls that are fat to being with.
Maybe you want to take your words back Michel. XD

It would make me physically sick to eat like that. You need to eat more balanced. Also, if you eat real food, you'll probably feel fuller for longer and then be able to stop snacking the way that you do.

It will come back to haunt you when you get older. You may have a naturally thin body but instead of having a flat stomach you'll have a mushy stomach with fat rolls on your sides if you keep on eating like this.

I eat like that and I'm not fat.
But, I can't afford to eat like that every day. So, that could be why.
Regardless, I BASH food and I'm just fine. You'll be alright.

Dietary fat helps burn body fat. Low fat diets fail.

Um you know what your problem is so the answer is self explanatory. And whats the point of working out everyday when you eat that way? Jeez and stop mooching off your friends, get a job so you can pay them back and pay for yourself.

Eat healthier and less-filling foods.
Then you can eat a lot, but it's not as bad for you.

What about saturated fats?
Reidar

Same thing. Research has shown that a lack of dietary fat triggers the rate of lipogenesis (production of adipose tissue, or body fat) because your body senses a deficit and produces more fat to compensate.
Saturated fats, specifically, play many important roles in biochemistry:
> They constitute at least 50% of the cell membranes. They are what give our cells necessary stiffness and integrity.
> They play a vital role in the health of our bones. For calcium to be effectively incorporated into the skeletal structure, at least 50% of the dietary fats should be saturated.
> They lower Lp(a), a substance in the blood that indicates proneness to heart disease.
> They are needed for the proper utilization of essential fatty acids. Elongated omega-3 fatty acids are better retained in the tissues when the diet is rich in saturated fats.
> Saturated 18-carbon stearic acid and 16-carbon palmitic acid are the preferred foods for the heart, which is why the fat around the heart muscle is highly saturated. The heart draws on this reserve of fat in times of stress.
> Short- and medium-chain saturated fatty acids have important antimicrobial properties. They protect us against harmful microorganisms in the digestive tract.

I totally agree. haha this is the 2nd time i've quoted her and agreed.
Well it's because she's right. Go make yourself a ham and cheese sandwich with WHEAT bread for breakfast. Eat it with some OJ and some eggs on the side. That should fill you up..
Go buy a subway sandwich for lunch. $5 footlongs ftw.
What kind of athlete are you? What do you do for exercise and how long do you do it? Your physical and mental performance will jump up once you start fueling yourself with real food instead of snacks and fries.
If you just love the taste of the junk that you eat then it's up to you to stop. Think of all the bad things about junk food. Fries, hohos. They contain a lot of grease, sugar(usually the bad kind), and salt. Salt can lead to pimples. You know what i mean?

Health is the key. Not just being skinny. From what you've said it sounds like you're not eating healthy. You shouldn't worry about the weight so much. Just the health. Throw some vegetables and meat in there. :D

If you don't pay heed to your diet, then your efforts in the gym are wasted.

Eat 6-8 times a day then. But keep it realistic. Make a sandwich and cut it in half. Eat one half as one meal and the other half a couple hours later as another meal. Eat a apple, or salad, or peanuts/nuts, etc...

There's always been this back and forth of whether or not 6 meals a day does anything for metabolism. Insulin, yeah, but metabolism has been talked about a lot. If you're hungry, eat. If you're not, don't. Write down what you eat to keep track. Simple.

Oh it definitely helps metabolism. In fact eating 8 meals a day makes a bigger difference than eatin 6 meals ^^;

find out if eating has become something to do when you're bored, and replace it with something else productive.
