does it annoy anyone else when ppl use gay as a derogatory term? cuz it annoys me. and it honestly gets on my nerves when some of my friends do so [thankfully most my friends are more considerate then that]. if i hear someone i kno use gay as a derogatory term, i ask them not to...and its usually okay. except for these stupid guys in my class who start joking about it..whatever. theyre jerks. but honestly...whats up with that? what if the person you were talking to was gay? i certainly wouldnt be very happy at all if ppl were using my sexual preference as a diss...grrrr. the same with when ppl use retarded as a derogatory term. retarded ppl dont choose to have their brains develop slower; theyre born that way. and given a choice between being mentally retarded and being relatively "normal" i truly doubt someone would choose to be mentally retarded.

I'm not annoyed by it, because "gay" or "retarded" is all but a mere term for those people also. If people say "blah blah blah is gay," I take it as a new definition of "gay" but not of a derogatory term. I don't think of those people very much different from us, and I don't treat them any different. But if those people are referriing it to as that...then I wouldn't be mad, not annoyed .

It does annoy me very much to here people say that because then it seems like bein gay is a very bad thing to do which it is not but goes for who u like i mean i like guys but some women prefer women and i think thats ok i don't have a problem and when people use the term gay as in like verbal fighting they don't realize that bein gay is not that bad and i think gay is ok.
