whistling.gif I'm pretty happy with myself right now. I'm an outright beginner to PS, and I've been following some basic tuts - only looking. Even some of them confuse me. -___-; But I found a GREAT gradient tut for text, and it was simple enough. As I was exploring I saw a few cool effects and decided to try it out! :3 I was amazed at what I got!

I made most of it in PS then added the text (ayesha) and the small two stripes in Paint. :3 How do you guys like it?

Thats really good. Especially since you said that you are a beginner.

Very good for a beginner. :]

Thanks. :] I was hoping it was not too lame, like you know, too basic like people have seen this kinda thing a million times. To me, it's like a whole new century, lol.
Any suggestions, like to make it better, such?

not liking the white border around the text.
maybe clean up some of the letters? to give it a contrast. not really clean straight lines or anything, but there's too much grunge there, IMO.

Lol. I believe the grunge came from the font. I'm currently trying to make it look less grungy but yet elegant. C:

you could've made those lines in PS. the white around the box is not as appealing, but all in all, good job.

i remember constantly messing with the fonts & blending options when i started using photoshop & my results always looked like yours. ahaha.

I did make it in PS but I'm still unaware of those easy cool features. xD
Lol, so what'd you do to make your gfx better? :3
