Haha, I actually attempted to do something graphical out of a shape in Paint Shop Pro, and I think it looks horrible because this is my first time and when I saved the image, it messed up the sides, and I saved it as a png, jpg, and gif and it did it on all of them.
But here it is:

Criticize it. :]

I think the petals need to be a little darker, or the middle should a be little lighter.

The center looks pretty realistic. I just think the edges of it are a little too blurry.
I can't really say much about the petals, though, since they're really hard to see.

^ It looks a lot better on the program itself, but off of it, it sucks.

The outlining is really choppy, and there is something blurry about the whole image.
I don't know, really. It might be better to just start over.

I think it looks pretty cool...maybe 'cause I have no patience to do something like that.
But the middle looks pretty realistic.

For a first image, this was super crappy. If you see it in PSP, it looks nothing like that. The quality is so much better and it's not choppy, but I don't know what file format to save it as.

PNG? That typically saves the quality.

I saved it as that and it turned the transparent background into a black background with pixely edges.

Transparency is irritating to get right...I just try to avoid it completely.

Yeah, just add more border or outline to the petals. :] The white ones.

I actually like it, but the center stands out too much for me, the petals seem to be just...there.
