Again. For the third time in the last two years. And since I've been driving it's happened at least 7 times that I can think of.
I'm an idiot, or something. My mom keeps getting mad at me because she has to drive up here to unlock my car.
edit; Sorry that's so abrupt. I'm headed to bed. =x

that's surprisingly never happened to me, but i'm sure i just jinxed myself now!
right after i park, i always turn off the engine/take the keys out before i even unbuckle or gather my stuff. and just to double check, i ALWAYS check to see if i have my keys (before i use it to lock my car).
but i ALWAYS forget to turn my lights on/off. good thing the camry turns off the lights when you turn off the engine or else i'll never be able to start my car cause the battery would be dead!

^Lol
I've never done it before.
I have left my lights on, at least, five occasions and drained my battery.

Oh, dude, i've done that at least 3 times within the last year. My dad will come and unlock them for me though. I feel so dumb when I do it though.

You aren't the only one Dani. By far.

I just did this 3 days ago.. I was planning to whipcream my boyfriend at midnight on his birthday with a couple of friends, and we got hungry waiting for midnight so we went to 7-Eleven.. I heard the ringing sound that turns on if you open the door and your keys are still in the ignition, but I ignored it cause I knew my lights were off already, and yea.. blah.. second time since I got my license :x

Thanks Evan, I absolutely never considered that but now I have a pretty good idea of why it keeps happening thanks to you. I appreciate it. <33
I don't have keyless entry, so I always instinctively lock my door right after I open the door to get out. If I don't have my keys in my hand at that point, I'll shut the door without even thinking about it. ;_;
That particular time I had just parked and called one of the girls in my section right before band practice (outside). I was kind of a bitch to her which I felt bad about, and when we got off the phone I just grabbed all my stuff and got out of the car. I just failed to pick up my keys and left them sitting in the passenger's seat. It took me about thirty seconds to realize it. It's pretty funny, though. I mean funny in an annoying way, but people always laugh when it happens because I do it ALL the time.

i havent locked my keys in my car yet but im sure i will probably do that.
I remember my mom told me how once she was going to her windstar when she still had it and she clicked the unlock button and it obviously unlocked, but when she went in the car she noticed that the inside was clean and there was a bunch of baby stuff right next to her in the passenger seat and she realized that it was the wrong car. She finally found hers but the weird thing was that the remote unlock key worked both on that car and hers.

I've never locked my keys in my car, but there was one time that I my mom had my keys, and I needed to get in my car. The window was halfway rolled down, so I just unlocked the car that way. The alarm on my car stops after a couple of minutes, so it was worth it.

^Is it one of those credit card-shaped things with a cutout plastic key or whatever? I have no clue what those are called but I've only seen one before - I hadn't heard of them before then.
I have one of those magnetic things that goes on the bottom of the car and holds a key, I just haven't gotten around to using it. I should probably try it since this happens so much.

Well that sucks.
I don't have a car, so I've never done that, but I have locked them in my house.
As dangerous as it is, I now leave my bedroom window un-locked incase it happens.

I've never had that happened to me, as I don't drive or own a car but...I once went inside an unlocked car thinking that it was my uncle's...yeah...it wasn't.

LOL and then you had to call and wake some dude up early in the morning so he could drive you back home to get the other set of keys. Good stuff.

Or was that another time?

I always forget to the turn car and I don't even have my license yet. My mom has to remind me to take the keys out of the ignition.
It's going to be very interesting when I get my license.

Never done that.
But I've only been driving for about 3 months by myself. I'm always afraid that I'll leave them in the trunk though...
My friend did that once but she had her door open so it wasn't horrible.
