I've seen dirtier places than New York City. I think it's actually pretty alright.
Anyway, in response to JC's comment... yeah. wtf? Why is everyone so concerned about making the garbage bags look pretty and 'artsy'?

It all just seems to unnecessary, y'know? Spending so much money on bags that serve the same purpose as the regular black ones... and some people might collect them? Are you kidding me? And making the garbage bags prettier won't convince more people to not litter or whatever.
