it sucks that this subforum is always so dead. stubborn.gif what would help liven it up?

i will resurrect the art contests if anyone is interested or has a good idea for one.
DoubleJ
The contest sounds like a good idea. You can maybe even get some art majors on the panel as judges if they want to participate. I plan on taking art as well as photog as some of my electives.

Yes, contests would be super amazing. Preferably ones that last. O_o

yeah i prefer that too. the making it lasts really depends on the contestants though and whether they can produce enough to make it last.

i mean i don't know it would be hard. i don't know how many artists we have on cb to begin with, my guess is not many.

edit:
uh, i should probably clarify i meant traditional artists. we obviously have an abundance of graphic artists here lol.
technicolour
Traditional art meaning pencil, colored pencil, ink, painting, etc.

I WANT CONTESTS BACK!

Juna & I had tried art contests a long time ago. Not enough people and the people who signed up weren't consistent. =/

JC I'll help you w/ some contests?

We need to get more people on board. I love the Art ideas, but I can't contribute to the art it's self.

I`d participate in contests, but I don't have a scanner. sad.gif and..taking pictures of the works won't do them justice, imo. But I`d be willing to help and whatnot. :)
Smarmosaur
i'm interested. the only thing is that the only art things i do are for art class, and i don't just shit out my own projects (i don't have enough time, resources, or creativity for that). pinch.gif

Yeah, that's true about not having many traditional artists.
That's unfortunate. =\
