Geez, people get busy, especially around the holidays. Dani's probably home from school, or at least spending time visiting friends and family.

Besides, 3 admins are here pretty much daily. How many admins are needed around this place? It doesn't look like a whole lot is happening at CB, anyway.

*shrug* I've been around but it's not like there's a whole lot that needs to be done. Michael's right, I have been traveling a lot for the holidays and that's kind of kept me away from this place. If it's that important to you guys that I'm here posting all over the place, then it won't hurt me any to let someone else have the position.

i don't blame dani a lot for not being here all the time because like it's been said...there isn't much going on to be here for. at the same time though, people like to see those in charge be around. even when there isn't much going on, i'd still like to see staff around. i like to think staff gets on cb because they like to, not just becuase they have to do something staffish, if that makes sense. you know, like normal members.

but eh, my expectations are unrealistic.

lol i love how people are trying to paint it to seem like rebecca opposed dee's decisions or dee went off behind everyones back and closed it. bullshit. dee had support in what she did. it was basically her and rebs who came up with the current medium ground agreement, plus dani on the whole NSFW marking. (but rebs and dani don't support dee? ) dee's move was like a combination of everyone's opinions. also the thread clearly changed from the time rebs posted in it, to the time it was closed. i don't think rebs posting in it means she supports everything that gets posted after her, but i guess she can correct me. another example of bitching at dee for the sake of bitching at dee though imo.


dee was nice enough to agree with the NSFW thread and give it a try and people are still crying about it after they got a whole thread to post their trash in. makes no sense to me how it's possible for people to bitch no matter whether they get what they want or not. dee handled this whole thing pretty damn generously since she clearly didn't have to considering the TOS makes it obvious what is allowed and what isn't. this isn't even a subjective issue. i've never heard of staff/admins needing to consult each other anyway before they get rid of pornish posts like 9001 posted. guess we have a new standard for dee though right? regardless, she did get support in her decisions prior to doing things.

I really, truly appreciate the kind sentiments but Dee is far beyond deserving a chance at acceptance and respect. I don't expect anyone to force themselves to like or befriend anyone, but I think it's time that you progress past this whole Dee is horrible sentiment you have. She's not horrible. She's actually quite fantastic if you take a step back and look at things from a more objective point of view.

Steven, you know I don't care what you think about my intelligence. It doesn't matter. Also, if you noticed, those threads were open for quite a long time, and during that time the upper staff was discussing it. We were actually discussing the NSFW thing for a while before those threads were made.

If I hadn't had support from other staff to get rid of those topics, I wouldn't have. I may not discuss every move I make as admin with all the members of the site, but I can guarantee you that I do NOT go behind staff's back and do things just because I want to. I didn't want to delete those topics, but they were getting out of control, because no ground rules were set before people started to reply. I didn't warn anyone who posted things in those topics (even through the posts were clearly against TOS). Had I warned everyone who posted in those topics, then you would have had a right to complain about it.

I posted and pinned the topic in the VIP Lounge for the sole reason that I wanted members to be a part of discussing the rules. I could have deleted the topics without any explanation and not allowed another to be made, but I am compromising. I think that the discussion between staff and members in that thread went quite smoothly, and you may not have liked that. No one else bitched about the threads being removed.

it's pretty hilarious that we slip up and it's an automatic warning, but never for someone on staff.

we at least do our time when we get in trouble. sure we fight it at first, but we're never put on the backburner and forgotten about.
