What are some good/interesting/weird/terrible mind-f**k books you've read recently?

And by mind-f**k, I mean anything philosophical, cultish, weird, or anything that brings up new ideas, predicts bizarre outcomes of current ideas, etc.

I'm halfway through A Clockwork Orange and I'm REALLY liking it (despite however much Burgess hates it, himself), especially the new slang and everything.

For school, I'm reading Plato's Republic, which isn't exactly "mindf**k," but he brings up this idea of "utopia" that's pretty ... out there.

Brave New World was interesting..

I liked it to, I know what you mean. I thought the ending was pretty....wow. Actually, the whole concept of the story was kind of just...wow in my opinion.

I read Epictetus' Enchiridion about a year ago. It wasn't necessarily mind-f**king, it was really interesting though. Reading something that makes you perceive life differently is always really intriguing.

I need to find some of those intriguing books to read. I love A Clockwork Orange. Actually, the second time I read it was better than the first time. The first time I just needed to figure things out and get the whole picture, and the second time I was able to focus a lot on the details of the book.
