I've been seeing "Summit announces" blurbs regarding Jacob casting and have yet to find a press release (on the Summit site at least) regarding Jacob Black. Maybe I missed something.

but wait, jacob is still normal jacob at the beginning of new moon. because he goes to the movies with bella and mike and then he gets sick and becomes a wolfy dude. so it totally makes sense that he would still have some parts, right?

Yeah, I get that (regarding Jacob's initial New Moon appearance) but Jacob doesn't entirely change. I find it odd for him to start off as one actor and evolve into a completely different actor. haha

im not exactly looking forward to that part, but i hope they dont cut it out. they could cut out any part that jacob is in and i would be fine with it, but they better not cut edwards parts.

The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series.
