does the z-index only go to 9 or is it just myspace???
here's the story

i did a div layout for some girl and when putting the z-index it changed to ..;
example:
z-index:10; -->changed to ..;
z-index:11;
z-index:12;
11 & 12 also changed like 10..

is it the coding or myspace?

myspace filters out z-index now. on regular websites, the number can be as high as you want, although i would never go higher or lower than +/-32767 (a range of 2^16). some browsers can't handle numbers higher than that, but if you ever have to go that high, then you're having some design issues.
