i recently had a virus or something like it and got rid of it...
but can they affect .mp3 files/songs i just opened iTunes and all songs are messed up.. kinda noisy, squirrel ish voices like when you fast forward the voice and sounds like squirrel ish.... lol but the time is not going fast it's normal..... i just downloaded a song off the internet and added it to iTunes and it's the only one that sounds good

someone out ther know?!?!
Tomates
Thats really weird. This is going to sound petty but have you ran a virus scan?

Viruses can effect any file on your computer including media files such as mp3's. I haven't heard of any that will speed them up most just make them unplayable. Try opening them in a different program and see if there still messed up. If they are your going to have to download them all again.

First I would try running a anti-virus programs like Avast and SpyBot just to make sure everything thats infecting your computer is gone.

SpyWare doctor is very legit. I only have the trial version, but the trial version you can have an unlimited amount of time. With the trial version, it protects your computer against viruses, kills most common viruses and many high risk ones. There are some it won't delete unless you upgrade to the full version, but it is very good. I recommend it.

  • Spyware spies on you and tries to find out information like passwords.
  • Adware is just software with advertisements
  • Virus is the general term when talking about adware spyware and other malware

I've never used spyware doctor but my friend does and it works ok for him. I like to use Avast and Spybot S&D instead.
