Smarmosaur
in your opinion, would it be sort of ok to switch your name.
instead of rockit studios, i want to be smarmosaur productions. laugh.gif (not sure about the productions part, but some word like that).
it's not like i'm a majorly known designer or anything, so it wouldn't be that hard/big of a deal, but i want a few opinions.

so, good idea or not?

I don't think it's a bad idea, but it can be confusing. I'd say it's better to change it now than later, when you'd possibly have a lot of visitors.

I don't think you should change it too often, though, so think carefully. ;]

i really like your current name.
but, if you were to change it, give it A LOT of thought.
cause, its not really good to keep changing it. &i'm not THAT big of a fan of smarmosour. but, whatever is, umm, you, i guess. lmfao
Smarmosaur
well, i created this name just out of nowhere. i wanted to get myself started and didn't put much thought into it.
now that i'm more serious and experienced, i want a more permanent name. something kinda catchy. and i don't even remember where smarmosaur came from. it's some sort of...made up dinosaur name. XD.gif
so if i do change it (whether it's to smarmosaur or something else i think of), it'll definitely be permanent.

RockItStudios > Smarmosour (Productions), imo

But if you do decide to change your name, make sure you like let everyone know on your website & stuff. Like maybe announce your decision a week or so before you actually do it. shrug.gif

Hm...it's better to change it now then later like Zephyr said.

And I like Smarmosour but it sounds really...eh, not professional if that's what you want.

I agree with what Angeline said about adding tags to your username. it's already apparent that you are in the design layouts market, but you don't necessarily need to have it in your name, or url. Keep it simple, so your users can still spell it. I messed up with that on my last site, avierspiel. Too many e's and i's.

Your username can be anything you want it to be. It's easiest for visitors if it's something they already know. I particularly liked Toby's signature site, paperthin. there are others like Gabi's, atomicaffliction.

^ Oh Lord, I depise the name of my site. pinch.gif

I was going to change the name of my site a couple months ago, but I personally thought it would be too much work. You have to switch credits and then people will get confused...it just seems like a mess to me. I'm not really too crazy about Smarmosaur, anyway. It seems diffifult to remember, and it doesn't sound very flowy. I can imagine having a hard time trying to pronounce it, but I'm not going to test it. My family will think I'm crazy if I start talking to the computer...

Not going to lie, I wouldn't remember how to spell "Smarmosaur".

Crap, I think I messed up too. Sylfaerien? My host said it was ridiculously hard to spell <_<;;

Although I think "smarmosaur" is cute, I agree with Dee in that I wouldn't remember how to spell it.
Smarmosaur
hm. ok.
I'll just go smarmosaur crazy in other parts of my life. =D
for some reason, I'm not as crazy about RockIt Studios as I used to be. should I just live with it and hope the phase passes, or do something about it?
nikx618
OHH i thought it was smarmoSOUR and not smarmoSAUR
smarmosaur is nice[: i like the whole concept of a made up dinosaur
name, but, maybe a different word besides smarmo, but i do like the concept of it all[x
