Flash has a huge learning curve, though. It'll be a good month or two before you can actually start making interactive stuff.

or you could use SwishMax. it's only $100 and makes it really easy to design flash.

Flash is a very complicated program to use. I think a month is pushing it. Honestly I think that if you know nothing about Flash or like photoshop etc. you will find flash EXTREMELY difficult to use. However, there are those simple lil things that might not be so hard. I would say 2 months for the basic's and years to begin developing amazing works :D.

Edit: OH ya, it does cost a crapload of money too, i would say 500 bucks as well.

i make flash skins...and believe me, there's a big learning curve. a month? a dam genius could probably pull that off. the average person...basics = 5-6 months, and then to master actionscripting (scripts used in flash), an extra 7-8 months.

Swishmax DOES help (it's like...an easier version of flash that can set-up animations n effects for you), but it can't handle codes as well as flash does. not only that, you're very limited to do much in swishmax compared to flash AND swishmax files can't be used in flash, and vice versa.

also..it's a very stressful program. errors are much harder to find in flash, and once you do manage to find the error, theres a decent chance that it could end up ruining your entire project (i.e: frame offset + multiple symbol misuse)...even "Debug" mode hardly helps.

...and ya thought HTML was hard ermm.gif

as for costs..yea, 500 or so bucks.

Flash...I'll never understand it. o.O I don't even know how to work my APS CS. -.-;; Sad..I know.
