Ok then.
Rather than what "programs" you might need, other than basic FTP, you should be more concerned with what coding knowledge is necessary.
The server you host on will deal with stuff once it is uploaded but its the coding which allows them to upload which is the tricky part. Just whack a few searches into google.

there arent any programs, you just need to be experienced with php, I wrote a php script for images if that helps:] you can always edit my files and change which file types you want to accept like I put the defaults as Jpg, gif and bmp, but you can change that to .mov or .avi or just add it on.:]
