I'm an upcoming senior and still have no idea what college to even apply to. I live in the LA area. Don't really mind the issue of placement, want to stay in West coast.

Okay, I want to do either, photography, stagecraft (creative board, music, costume design, hair and makeup), Music, Art, Psycology (for mental/disabled children), Design, Digital Design, or Tourism.

These are my qualifications: ABRSM Grade 8, Certificate of Merit System Level 10, Kanji Proficiency Level 7, Japanese Proficiency Exam Grade 1 (the hardest level), CD Design credit, Swimming Grade 3 in Japan (3rd best grade), FBLA Officer for 2 years, Band member 3 years (our band will be in the Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1st 2009), Orchestra member 3 years (First chair/Concert mistress 2 years), District Orchestra member 4 years, Academic Decathlon 1 year, Class Committee 4 years, etc.

GPA: 2.9-3.1

AP Exams: APEnglish Language [3], APJapanese [5]; and I'm going to take APEnglish Literature and APMusic Theory.

Do I have any chance of getting into good college/universities? I prefer universities... and For example, which ones?

I've tried and am still completely lost. Obviously, a dunce like you wouldn't understand. W3n ppl tYp3 Lyk Diz... Wow.... I didn't even know people still did that. I asked nicely... Can't you respond nicely? Don't you think I have looked already? I'm not so lazy of a human being that I'm leaving everything for last minute. Well it IS last minute but not by choice or procrastination. So unless you have an actual legible and well considered response to my dilemma, please don't answer me as if I'm a fool.

Oh yeah. I also prefer to go to a not so huge school. Large lecture rooms will just make me super sleepy and not pay attention... x_X

Don't even sweat it. Just apply to whatever you like, you'll be surprised how many acceptance letters you'll get.

FBLA, nice.

I was VP 2002-2003, and President 2003-2004.

biggrin.gif i love fbla.

i was in fbla from 7th grade to 12th grade. i got a few awards for it too. president of my middle school chapter [not really a big job] and i was chapter secretary & district treasurer in my senior year. i didn't do much. laugh.gif

but all those extra-curricular activities is a huge plus. universities/colleges LOVE it when students are involved in their school and all that stuff. it shows "school spirit".
