I love firefox, but sometimes I like to use IE because some web sites load and display better in IE.
Firefox's text is soo clear and crisp, while IE is soo blurry and choppy. I tried turning my computer's ClearType on, but that didn't do anything. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you know how I can fix it?
firefoxiesorry about the full screen shots. i was too lazy to crop.

IE7 does that. I haven't yet figured out a way to turn it off. I know Safari does that too, but they give you an option for how blurred you want it, and the lowest setting is okay. I don't think IE lets you choose, though.
I'd just use Firefox. ;]

anti-aliasing is a problem you're always going to have to deal with. the only way to make it look better is to use a larger font, because even if you turned off anti-aliasing in your own browser, other people are going to keep it on. it also depends on the size & resolution of the monitor & the number of colors they're using.

Open IE7 > Tools > Options > Advanced tab > Multimedia > uncheck "Always use ClearType for HTML."
(However, Firefox really is the better browser.)

i'd say keep ie7. ie6 doesn't directly support PNG transparency, so transparent images (except for GIFs) will have a grey-blue background. unless of course, the designer puts in extra coding to work with ie6, which
doesn't work on myspace. and ie8 is out in beta, so the full version should be done soon.
