I hate ultimate frisbee. Why is this such a phenom? Everyone is so pressed about UF in my area. My muscles are still shot from Saturday.

Ultimate's become my sport, once I realized how I wasn't tall enough for other sports and if I kept going w/ cross country I would have a vertical leap of 12".
That's no fun.

i use to hate ultimate frisbee (mostly cause i couldn't throw the goddamn frisbee), but i've gotten better since & it's actually really fun! ultimate frisbee's actually gotten quite popular among the kids at my school.

They made us play Ultimate Frisbee in PE. I don't understand how that's a sport. Just because you try to make it sound more bad-ass by putting "Ultimate" in front of it, doesn't make it a sport. It's like Ultimate Skiprope.

^ It's pretty intense. It's kind of like soccer, but with a frisbee.
I played it a lot during PE 11, and it was a lot of fun! We kinda played by our own rules at first, but then my teacher came over and taught us the real way of playing it - so much better LOL. I did, however, get hit in the eye by a frisbee at one time.

I know what Ultimate Frisbee is, I did take PE you know. It's just the lamest, lamest sport I could ever think of. You could practically take any trivial pastime, stick some rules on it, add "Ultimate" to the name and make it a sport.
Also, because when I was "playing" it, all I saw were people running frantically towards the frisbee, panting like dogs, looking ridiculous. Maybe it's because we all sucked that I have such a bad impression of it.

what team sport doesn't require running towards something? well i'm sure some smart ass will think of something to that rhetorical question, but the point is - a lot of team sports require passing or running with/towards an object. so really, ultimate frisbee isn't that much different from other sports... unless you just have a dislike for frisbees in general? lol

^x2 Oh I know you know what it is... I'm just comparing it to soccer. Ultimate frisbee is just as fun and just as 'lame' as that. Except... I guess UF is lamer since it has a really pathetic name LOL.

I'd have to say that I do have a dislike for frisbees; I think they're lame.
Ultimate boomerang? Ultimate Nerf? Ultimate kite-flying? That's what it reminds me of.
If you actually read what I wrote, you'd know that yes, they run towards the frisbee, much like other sports and their ball-equivalents, but also look like retards while doing it. I would much rather not look like a frantic household pet while playing a sport. I also mentioned that the people I watched sucked, so I wasn't offending your beloved sport. I'm sure the professionals are good and entertaining at what they do. It's just not a sport I'm interesting in watching anytime soon.
