They would have probably played up the fact that he was anything other than black. I mean, when you take one look at him, you're obviously going to assume he's fully black. If he was a mix of some sort, the media would probably put more emphasis on it, like Alicia Keys. I don't know why Pharrell would keep his racial mixes a secret?
