Hey everyone i just joined this site. Heres a DIV. layout i made for myself last night. Took me like all day to finish. It's simple but unique, C&C please. =]

You're right, it's simple. I like your use of brushes, but I think it could use some color.

Oh, I like it a lot!

But...I think it would look better if the content area is moved to the left more. Like right under where "Welcome" starts.

^^i agree with both.
but, i think a little hint of
bright color would make it nice[:
but its already really nice

I agree with adding some color. The content area is a bit plain for my taste.

Well my task was to make a greyscale image (uncles orders) im interning with him, you might have herd of him, Tom White, hes well known for graphic work. The Content area is also where it is because of the texture behind it. it flows well there anywhere else would look "uneven" per say. I always like to have a sence of balance/depth in my work.

i like this because it looks cool. i think you would only add color if you wanted to. but you were going for a black & white thing, right? and i like the brushes you used. it would be pretty cool if you made another layout like this with color though.

Yeah, I agree with where the content area should be. It looks more balanced where it is. And if that was your task, you definitely aced it. I just thought it'd be more interesting if you added at least one detail that's colored. Either way, it's good.
