I am about to start college next month, and I am excited, but at the same time nervous because I don't know anyone in there area, besides the few people I met at orientation, and the HUNDREDS of online friends I met on Facebook, lol. I'm anxious to make new friends, and get involved in plenty of activities. No rules, no parental guidance, hope I don't go crazy, haha.

How did/do you feel about college, and the new experience?

Moved to School

I started college this month, and it's way better than high school. Right now I still live at home, though. I've always had my independence at home and my mom doesn't really care if I go somewhere. But in September I'll be on my own.

Well I was homeschooled so going to college was completely overwelming. A week after I turned 18 I started going to community college still living with my parentals. I did this for a year, even through summer. I actually moved out recently into my grandparent's place about 7 months ago in California [I lived in Arizona] and I know that I am financially helped with a home, food, and whatnot but it isn't easy.

Just study really well, please finish school and you will be just fine. I am actually attending a massage therapy school so I will be done in January of 09 (:

college is awesome just try to not party to hard.

lol i don't plan on partying that hard, if at all.

i'm going to be involved in plenty of activities that i love doing, so ima make sure its not boring. don't need to party to have fun.

i started college in june since i did summer b. i met plenty of people at orientation and met even more when classes started. i really like college because there's more freedom to do what you want. it also makes it better when you're involved, like in clubs and organizations. of course, the parties too, but that depends on you as a person.

half the activities involve partying, unless your the type that thinks scrabble, a tom clancy book, and chess is a fun night

college is awesome way better than high school. i started college about a year ago and its been great. But try not to work to much until you get used to college classes. I worked over 30 hours and had full time classes and my grades SUCKED.

well i don't know how to play any of those games, and who the heck is tom clancy?

I'm only a junior, but Im pretty stoked for college. From what my brothers tell me, it sounds pretty awesome.

college is what u make of it, im living at home and its still fcking sick man if i was away from home it would be awesomeee.

There is more freedom, but with that comes the responsibility to manage your time. I had a hard time with that all four years.

When I started college I was nervous about actual classes b/c I didn't really know what to expect...socially; I was taken care of because I was there during the summer in a program & hung with those people until I eventually met new people during the year as I got involved in organizations...school should be fine once you get into a few organizations & get used to your course load...
