Get another job if you have time, or ask your mom if you could do chores or something for her in order to pay back the money. Pester other family members for money. Do chores around the neighbourhood, like mowing lawns or something. You need to do a lot though, because that's a short amount of time.

Wow, way to be negative nancy. Really tell your mom you'll work for her to make up for the money, unless she really has something against lending money to her children, then I think that should work fine.

I'm just stating that it's kind of impossible to get that much money in so short of time. Unless you use Elba's idea of a bank loan or something.

Bank loans might be a little bit hard to get now because of the recession and housing market. They're getting really picky about whom they give their loans to. With her mother having the resources, it's the best choice. Not impossible with the support of others.

If you can talk one of your parents into co-signing a loan for you (because you probably don't have much credit built up) then go that route. Or just ask them for a personal loan and work out payment with them. Otherwise, find a bus route that you can take to get to where you need to be and get another job and save up money.

Thats what I would do.

Well yeah bank loans would work but you need to pay them back.

1. See if you could hold down a second job that pays well.

2. Do your mom's laundry, clean the house, prepare meals etc. and let her pay you for them.

What's so urgent about this situation? You said you needed a car fast, I'm just curious. Some of the tips other people have posted might help, but how old are you? If you're under 18, then you probably will have to resort to asking (begging?) your parents. Doing chores for them might help, but have you explained your situation to them? If they understand why you need the money so fast, I'm sure they'll be more willing to help you.
