Art Is Amor is my site name not just my screen name. Since I was a little girl, I have been the biggest art geek I know. I loved it all. Painting sculpting dance, song, poetry, printing, graphics - EVERYTHING.


I always had a motto "Art Is Love" but it sounded too boring to be a site name. So I thought, okay, Im Latina, why the hell not put "Amor"? BAMMM! Art Is Amor was "born" in March 2003. I started off doing "dollz" at my old site. (http://artisamor.awardspace.com) Then i was on MySpace seeing all these sites n thought I could SOOOOOO do that so I decide to do graphics for people to actually use...



How did you sites get your start?

I had worked on a bunch of Neopets sites in the past, and I had a couple of smaller sites. I decided to open a myspace layout site, since I liked making layouts and I already had a few saved that I had made myself.

I asked my mom what I should name my site and we thought and then I came up with Sharper Myspace. I got the idea from the store Sharper Image. I thought it sounded cool.

Now I kinda wish I had named it Sharper Designs, since I am wanting to stray away from Myspace and focus more on resources. Maybe I will change in the future, but right now I don't think it is a big issue.

^That's kinda cool, actually. xD

virtualcaffeine is kind of my handle as far as site names go, but I haven't done anything with it yet because I am a failure. I came up with the name when I was drinking a particularly good cup of coffee and it just kind of stuck. :)

Voila, there's my site name...I'm not very creative with names at all as you can tell.

Mine is TeeCup Designs. ( my old sn for cb was supimateecup ).

& I got the idea because when I was little I did ballet and my mom loved that i was a ballerina in training. And uh one of my first performances was to, "I'm A Little Tea Cup" so it came from there. I didn't want it to be Tea Cup, cuz for some reason I like to mispell my words or add letters like "thiis" so i changed it to Tee. & I figured I'd stick with the original "_______ Designs" kinda thing.

My current sn is Shortcake and I was gunna change my name to Shortcake but I saw a lot of other sites with that name and none with TeeCup, so I'll keep TeeCup.

When I had mine, I got it from a song I was listening to. I was just sitting as my computer listening to music and decided to use it. I don't take name for anything from my screen name My screen name is embaressingly 2001, but I can't come up with anything new.

At first, my site name was Eternal Illusions... but I didn't really liek it because 1) It was just really arbitrary... I had no inspiration what so ever. and 2)In the site URL it looked like EternalIllusions when looks like I have a 4 "l" thing going on.

The I started making designs and I really like using the outer glow effect. It especially looks pretty when you use it on the star brushes in the photoshop default brushes. I wanted a name that sounded ethereal but also a bit grungy, since I love using textures too. soo... Celestial Abyss was born... and I haven't looked back. It's currently my website/CB/DeviantART/AIM/MSN screenname.

Honestly? I was just obsessed with the concept of "dreams," so Dreamscape it was. I realized later (much later) that the definition of "dreamscape" fit the style of graphic I liked to make, which was an unexpected plus.

Oblivion is my site name.
Obviously, i got it from a song by 30 Seconds to Mars
I started to see it, not just a song, the word actually meant something
to me. Oblivion is such a explosive name. Means the end of everything. I like it. I totally love Oblivion.

I've had quite a few sites, all of which failed.
I had Norway, ColdToTheTouch, and some french one.

I usually name some of the past sites I had after my favorite band song or a name that has a good meaning.

would of gone with Blaqheartedstar.com but sadly people searching for it made the .com taken by those retarded advertisement companies.

Silentatmosphere was a totally random choice... no actual meaning to it. sounded nice, went with it.

well, my name is 1103. Designs i got it from my daughters birthday i started when i got pregnant and then it was just motherhood but as i progessed i made more than just mommy and baby layouts so i changed it

Someone helped me with my name. I started out on bebo making skins / edits etc (Still to) So first I just had my name "JanaFHayes" (Don't stalk me :L )
Then I wanted to be AWESOME and have a name with designs at the end. But my name was pretty lame. So someone said "well whats your fav color" I said Blue.. So they said "Blue crush" then we talk etc. thinking of words to fit between "Blue" and "Designs" Till I came up with "BlueRageDesigns" Which I don't like now. Because there is someone out there who has "BlueRage" For log in's etc. So if I want sn's for edting sites etc I have to use the full thing. :L
ANYWAY. that;s how I got my name. :L

I'm not very good at picking names so I just made something short and simple.

The "Mike" part is short my first name. (Michael)
The "p" part is the initial for my last name. (Peters)
The "lyts" part is short for "layouts".

Yeah, I know, not very unique but whatever.

When I think of titles i need to start listening to rap.
My site wefuze just kind of hit me.
Usually what I name the site will decide its style.
I know its weird but since my site has a z when I was doing the design I was always thinking Z! So now my site looks like a z to me.
I reallywant to design around a G.
Createblog is almost like a G. Not quite though. Because blue isnt a G.
haha. I know im strange. Just my whole life I have linked things to letters.

Monkey Robot is a name I came up with when I was in tenth grade and first made a site. I don't really remember the rationale; I liked monkeys and robots, and the name was kind of catchy, and I thought it would be a fairly unique Google search.

aberisk actually came from me reading an article about how asians couldnt work at abercrombie. So I was like, damn, its risky to work there. Hence abercrombie is risky
aberisk. lol its lame I know :]

the way i came up with the name isnt very exciting, but i just thought of all the different factors there are in each and every graphic that make them unique.

and plus it sounds cool. lol ;)

fameONE is the name I write when I'm doing graffiti. DJ FAME is the name I go by when I'm on the turntables. It just seemed appropriate.
