so my friend asked me to make her an lj layout. i dont know if anyone here is familair with lj (im definitely not), but i told her id try.

Do a Google search for LiveJournal skins or something like that.

i dont think you can make lj skins unless you ahve a paid account. yuo can change the css and premade skins though..

ya i used to have livejournal and i hated it because you cant really put on layouts because they dont have places for you to put in html, at least..i dont think they do. i agree with 01bebe though. you can only choose the skins that they premade.

heyy that's not true.. you can make layouts for lj without payin.. but the problem is i have no idea how to do it lol.. but i know you can cus my friend has 1 nd she did it

You can't necessarily make layouts for them.
You can use a stylesheet though. Change colors, add background images, change text blah blah blah.
I will give you the code for it. Assuming you know how to use a stylesheet of course.

Try this. It's helpful... a basic style sheet in a way for newbies.

I use LiveJournal and you can pretty much customise it the way you want (even with a free account) if you REALLY know what you're doing.

and you will be easy to get use to skinning every blogging system.
