I looked, but only found a thread with a link to first five minutes. And it was broken link.

So, don't act like you don't know what this is. Who's going?

I am, but probably not on opening night. I don't wanna get trampled by all those people.
Joannnnnne
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! It took me two years after it came out to watch Batman Begins, and it is not happening again.

I hope I get to see this in an IMAX theatre. =D
berrypop90
Omg I'm so seeing it. Looks amazing!

^ Little excited are we. A movie theatre is no place for a mosh pit, lol, someone might take ya wallet.

batman dies
Hedonism
^I hope your kidding!

My mother wants to take me to see it for some reason.

I just wanna see Heath.

I saw the beginning of the bank robbery scene, which I'm assuming is the beginning of the movie on YouTube. Looked really good from what I saw, it sure as heck made me want to see more. I hear the tickets for IMAX are already sold out here where I live, so good luck to anyone wanting tickets for that. I myself will probably go the day it comes out, not the midnight screening, I only get my lazy ass outside at that time for the Harry Potter flicks. :)
0nadia0
VERY excited. Cant wait for July 17th :)
vogueXdirge
I'm soooooo seeing this! I can't wait to see Heath Ledger's performance. I'm probably going to cry...I love Heath <3

The only thing that I'm not looking forward to are the masses of people who are going to flock to the movies to see it. I hate being in crowded theatres...

I might see it like a week after to opens, just to avoid the major chunk of people going to see it the first few days it opens.

Oh jeesh; this movie is already making millions even before the release date!
Yeah, I'm thinking about seeing it in IMAX, similar to a BILLION other people.

I wonder how much more hectic it would be in Hong Kong. blink.gif
LoveToMySilas
I think the only reason I'd see it is for Heath Ledger. I was never a batman fan...well except for the one with Poison Ivy...she was hot. throb.gif

I know, judging by all the hype for this movie, there's going to be sooo many people. I would hate to be working at the movie theatre opening night.

going to see this with the boyfriend next weekend. happy.gif can't wait, heard Heath Ledger was beyond awesome as the joker.
Janette
I'M DEFINITELY GOING.
Relentless
I'm going for sure. I can't wait. Not sure about going opening night because it might be crazy. A little too crazy.

I do kind of want to see this. I'm happy to wait a couple of weeks until the lines have hopefully died down a little.
aaayotiffany
i saw it at seven today. not the midnight show.
IT WAS AMAZING. like words cannot describe how it was. heath ledger did an AMAZING job as the joker; like there were parts that freaked me out.

worthy.gif heath ledger & christian bale.
berrypop90
I just saw the midnight showing and it was FAN-F***ING-TASTIC! AMAZING. Heath Ledger as the Joker is the best villian I have seen in years. Throughout the movie I was on the edge of my seat. There were also some pretty big HOLYSHITWTF moments. Just...see this movie.

Plus, Christian Bale is DAMN sexy.

+ OMG when my friend and I pulled up to the theater the line was HUGE! It wrapped around the back of the theater, weaved through the parking lot and came out the other side! Luckily we knew some people in the VERY FRONT so we got to cut hundreds of people. biggrin.gif
Kristov
I am awake right now because of this movie. I just want to walk around with a deck of joker cards.

Oh my god this movie was AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG
Even though it's a 3 hour sit, everypart had something in it.
Heath's Performance blew my mind, I was so creeped out by him at some points and sometimes I forget that it was him under all the makeup.
Anyways, was there anything after the credits? I couldn't stay because all my friends and boyfriend wanted to leave to meet up with people. I'm assuming a Heath Ledger tribute, but other then that?
berrypop90
I didn't stay for the after credits, I wanted to though. sad.gif
Melissa
^ there's nothing after the credits, so there would've been no point.

I was surprised. It was really good, but has a really grim tone nearly throughout. It's definitely not a "feel good." Especially with Rachel dying and Batman pinning Two-faced's crimes on himself. :(
aaayotiffany
^ i agree about the last part. i can't believe he did that.
what was the ending quote, something like "gotham deserves a hero like him, but they don't need him." so dry.
Just_Dream
I saw it last night.. or rather this early morning (12:30 am showing). It was REALLY GOOD and even though we sat there for 2.5 hours, my friends and I were engrossed the whole time. Heath Ledger's performance was amazing and it just makes me more depressed about his death. cry.gif btw When the Joker hung that dude in a batman suit and it hit against the window with that dude and Harvey Dent, OMFG everyone jumped because it was so random and creepy at the same time!

BTW I saw more people with blankets outside, I guess they were waiting for the 6am showing in IMAX, when I got out at 3am. :O Damn I wish I could've seen it in IMAX, but that was completely sold out. :[
aaayotiffany
my friend went to see it at imax. but she didn't camp out, lol. and heath's performance was amazing. there were plenty of parts where i was, like, really scared of him. like the entire time i was like, "no way is that heath under there" but damn, he got this role down. i loved everything about it, the way he talked, the way he laughed. so amazing.

i JUMPED in my seat when that part happened! i was like WTF!

OMG I jumped so high when that happened! Random gunshots also made me jump(and there were a lot!) blink.gif

I loved when his bat car thing ejected him onto the back tires and turned into a motorcycle THEN he did that wall flip HOLYSHITSOCOOL!

I wasn't expecting the movie to be so comedic. Were you guys? I laughed so much through the whole movie. Especially when the Joker dressed up as that nurse and his bomb button failed. LOL!

Yea that was HILARIOUS!

My friends and I were all really sad about what happened with the Lamborghini. I see no point in having that mashed sad.gif
shortcake
My goodness, this was by far thee best movie that I have watched all summer. Even though it was long, I wasn't like oh man when is this gunna end? All of the actors are really good. Heath Ledger's performance was genius, he played the part sooo well. A part like that shows you good of an actor he was. & Christian Bale? HOT stuff. ha.

I definitely didn't expect it to have its comedic stuff. I definitely love the part where the bomb goes doesn't go off and he's just like what? and he kinda jumps after. It sucks knowing that the Joker role won't be played by Heath Ledger again, he did such a good performance. Oh man such a good movie, extremely suspenseful. This is a must see!
mizzkewl06
Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker was amazing. He was so creepy & scary that it was hard to remember that under the make-up it was him. IMO he overshadowed Christian Bale, big time. Not saying Bale did a bad job or anything, but Ledger just did better. Overall an awesome movie! thumbsup.gif

A non stop orgasm of Cinematic brilliance.

With only three short words comprising the film's enigmatic title, it also boasts three epic claims to fame: the role of a lifetime for the late Heath Ledger, one of the best films of 2008 and one of the greatest superhero films of all time.
karmakiller
Omg, you all are tempting me with your spoilers. I need to stay out of this topic until I go see this.
fredatemespleen
i wanna see it so baddd.

^^^i was supposed to go with them but noooo i got sick. :(
Just_Dream
Wow I haven't seen another superhero movie that got an A- on yahoo movies for a while. All the A-'s have been going to animations and maybe the lord of the rings trilogy (was it three films?). :P

Okay this is a little weird but you know in Brokeback Mountain, when Jake Gyllenhaal's character said to Heath Ledger's character, "I wish I could quit you!" And then at the end Gyllehaal's character dies. Well now the real Heath is gone. sad.gif

=X

The nurse part was HILARIOUSSS, but I also liked the first trick he did, with the pencil? holy shit I covered my mouth cause I almost yelped.

Ugh Heathy, I felt so sad watching him act so good. ): ):

Did you see his face when he pretended to be a cop when gordon was shot? He still looked creepy and nothing like Heath.

"Warner Bros said its movie was the biggest midnight opening in history, grossing $18.5 million for its 12.01 am showings at venues across the country. It pulled in a further $46 million from 4,366 cinemas during the rest of Friday, the well-sourced Hollywood blogger Nikki Finke reported."

Holy shitttttt.

^^ Oh yeah!!! The pencil part was AMAZING. I laughed so hard!

As for the midnight record(I helped w/ that tongue.gif ), I read it here: Bloomberg

Did Maggie Gyllenhaal bother anyone else in this movie? Maybe I should have just erased my previous viewing of Rachel Dawes but I just felt like the character was drastically different and it sort of stuck with me through a good portion of the movie.

Oh I went to the opening show, and let me just say, that right at the pinnacle of the movie, the climax, the turning point, our screen went black, no audio or video for a good five minutes. Then the video came back on but there was no audio for a good five minutes. And when the audio came back on they didn't even rewind it. So I'm finishing this movie watching Batman use this sonar shit with all the screens with Fox and I don't know what the f**k is going on. I was pissed.

Good thing I'm going to see it again in IMAX monday.

Yes, she was incredibly annoying and stupid. I understand that Batman had to have his love interest and all that jazz but, seriously. Katie Holmes would have been better, in the acting department. And she's crazy!

But this movie was pretty much awesome. Everyone should see it at least 5 times. I'm going again soon with some friends. :D
Melissa
lol, my favorite part's when Batman and the Joker are driving at each other and Batman passes him with the motorcycle and Heath's all "He missed!" It was way funny.

And I can't believe Batman Dies!!
iii
Saw at midnight.

I think the Joker is f**king sexy as hell, and Christian Bale as Batman was just f**king boring. I only want him to be chain-sawing a woman while eating her out. Nothing else kthx.

Yes you need to see this movie in IMAX, parts of the most crucial moments of the film, were filmed in IMAX, which makes it even more great of a movie. I think you know which parts I'm talking about as well :)

I agree though, while there is not a single complaint I have with the movie, I did notice that Gyllenhaal took the Rachel Dawes character as more of the women in distress, rather then Holmes who really played the DA more efficiently, do I think Holmes acting was better, NO not at all, but I do feel she played Rachel dawes more closely to the script writers, original idea.

EDISON CHEN MAKES A CAMEO IN THE DARK KNIGHT?! WTF?!

Does anyone remember this scene?

Considering how Heath Ledger played the Joker is just unfortunate to know he's not gonna be there to play anymore outstanding performances.
