did anybody get them get?
if so what region are you from?
i am quite anxious, yet scared!
yeahh. waiting for them. living in socal.
mizzkewl06
my sister hasn't gotten hers, she says they're supposed to arrive mid-july.
Gigi
They get mailed to you mid-July.

You can call and get your results earlier if you wish, but (I think) you have to pay $15.
xbanana
no its about 8-10 bucks.
which is so NOT worth it.

there are people on soompi
who are from california and got theirs.
but they did not specify which part -.-
Macintosh
I was really tempted to pay the fee and get them early early this month, but there's only approximately a week left to wait. So.. whistling.gif I'll wait it out.
Joannnnnne
According to the website, you pay $8 every time you call to get your results.

Anyone know how much it would be to get your AP marks sent to your college/university again? The university I'm going to never got my AP Psych exam mark... an exam I took in grade 11. = ='' Stupid bastards.
Gigi
Probably $15 CND though.
Joannnnnne
And I just found the answer to my question.
QUOTE
You may also send your AP grades by phone for a fee of $15 per college, beginning July 4.

Freaking $15 for their mistake? UGHHH!!
xbanana
^ uh..when you took the test did you mark down which colleges you wanted your score(s) to be sent to?
Joannnnnne
Yes, I did. I'm totally sure of it too, because I wrote down a reminder for myself on which school I sent it to somewhere else.
xbanana
ohh. then that is weird o.O you should call collegeboard....if they dont charge you simply to call that is -.-

i swear collegeboard charges for every little thing.
and they're ridiculously overpriced.
Joannnnnne
Yeah, I just sent an email to them asking them to send it to my university without charging me anything (since it's their fault). I should get an answer in two days...
venti-anemoi
What if you're a junior and have no idea where you're going? I hate how they let you send scores to schools for free when you take the test, then when you actually know where you're going you have to pay. _dry.gif
xbanana
YES! i agree -___- well i have an idea of some of the schools i want to go to, so i'll be sending my SAT scores from now on.

so seems like seattle area and norcal have gotten their scores. anybody in socal got their scores yet?
Relentless
I GOT MINES YESTERDAY.

I was not satisfied. Oh well. I did not get a 3 on either of my 2 AP testings.
venti-anemoi
I GOT MINE!!!

I was really happy with my calc and bio scores, and ehh with my japanese score. During the free response typing part of the japanese test, everyone's computer started typing in english instead of converting it to japanese, and everyone was like O_O WTF?! haha so yeah, they said they'd project our final scores off of our multiple choice section alone, but they didn't :( which really lowered everyone's score. But I still got a 3, so I'm pretty relieved. I thought I'd get like a 2 or something. XD
xbanana
FINALLY! me, from socal, finally got my scores.
ap us history - 4
ap language - 3
i was hoping for a 5 and 4 since my GPA sucks, but i'm still satisfied. i didn't get a 2 on lang and i qualify for ap scholar award :]
Macintosh
Where do you guys live? I still haven't gotten mine yet. D;
Joannnnnne
I haven't gotten mine yet either! I know my university got this year's batch a couple days ago, and it'll take them a week or so to put them all in the computers. Hope they don't mess and screw a bunch of people over again. = =''

I'm really nervous.
Gigi
^ OMG yesterday I had a dream that I got my results back and that I got a TWO in AP Calculus. I woke up in sweats.
Tung
^ Didn't you two graduated already? Why are you two still worry about AP scores? Shouldn't you get your University Colleges acceptance letters already since Spring?
Gigi
I suppose I don't really need to worry since acceptance isn't a problem., but if I get my 96% (equivalent to a 5), I can have a little wiggle room for my English mark, and I would have a higher chance of getting $4000 versus $2000. Scholarships FTW!

Also, I'm deathly afraid of failure. It's my pride that will hurt too.

You're not the only one.
My worst nightmares are all about getting C's. After waking up, I can never get back to sleep.
doiink
5 on chinese, actually not what I expected. I totally f**ked myself up in the oral part (I wrote a whole spiel about it in another AP test thread) but I guess it turned out alright! The test asked to talk about a city in China and its significance etc etc--what comes to mind? BEIJING RIGHT? Except I was a complete idiot and tried to talk about Shanghai. And by try I mean completely failed; I assumed I'd get a 4 or 3 depending on how well the fobs did. IM SO HAPPY :D :D :D

I really want a 4 or 5 on my AP Calculus exam so I won't have to take calculus again.

But I'll be happy with a 3.
Joannnnnne
Okay, so uh... I just had a dream last night that I got my AP score back......... I got a 1 on my AP Calculus exam.

f**k.
xbanana
ouch.
Joannnnnne
I'm getting really really really antsy about my mark now. I keep finding myself checking the mailbox. ><
xbanana
you could potentially scare away your mailman.
Joannnnnne
I just opened my mail... and I am very happy about it, even though I won't be getting credit for calculus now.

I got a 3.

AT LEAST I DIDN'T GET A 1!!!! yahoo.gif
venti-anemoi
Wait, you don't get credit if you get a 3?

Congrats, by the way! :]
Joannnnnne
4 is the minimum for me to 'skip' the 100-level math courses in university.

And thanks! At least I'll have background knowledge for the calculus class I'll be taking...

Always a plus. :]

Oh damn. BUT if it's for some random class that I'm not planning to take in college (like japanese) then does it really matter if I get a 3?
Joannnnnne
Oh no, I don't think it should matter then.

... but where I live, we have to take provincial exams to get into the universities in BC. If we don't do well in our provincials, they accept our AP marks in replacement... so it'd be a MAJOR plus if I did well. Oh well.
venti-anemoi
Provincial exams?.........oh, you live in Canada. haha I didn't get what BC meant for a minute there.

Does it go the other way too? Like, if you did well in provincials, then would they ignore your AP scores and let you not have to take the class?
Joannnnnne
No, because the provincial exams can be for ANY course. It's just for admission. AP exams are used for both admission and credits for specific classes.

Ahh, that sucks. :(

I don't think we usually have exams for admissions. I might like that better than doing all the SATs and stuff, though. Do you guys have to do that too?
Joannnnnne
Nope, no SATs!! =D

From what I've heard, it's pretty freaking hard. My friend took it twice because he applied for universities in the states, and he had a lot of trouble with the vocabulary section. Apparently they just give you words out of context, and you have to figure out what it means? Harsh!
venti-anemoi
I'm not sure I remember any of those kinds of questions, but there might've been some like "A synonym of ______ is a) b) c) d) e)" But most of the time they're not like that; they usually give you a sentence or passage instead and say "the underlined word has the same/opposite meaning as a) b) c) d) e)"

I think. (._.) Or my memory might be going prematurely. I like to forget about unpleasant things.

But back on topic :D

APs actually made the end of my junior year easier, 'cause we didn't actually do anything in those classes after AP classes. XD
Joannnnnne
I know, right! After the AP calculus exam, everyone just talked or played games in class. I'm pretty sure everyone would've skipped if it wasn't for my (awesome) teacher threatening to teach another lesson if 3+ people were absent.
venti-anemoi
My teacher taught new stuff anyway. <_< It wasn't really hard, though, and actually kind of fun. :D

5 in aural music theory, but the section of death brought it down to a 4. UGHwhatever

:z
venti-anemoi
Is AP music theory hard? I'm taking it next year. _unsure.gif And what's the section of death?
xoxo_proud
I think Southwestern Ohio is cursed. People in Pennsylvania and Maryland are getting their scores before me stubborn.gif

I guess my decision to self-study calc bc 2 months before the exam was a bad idea.
I got 3's on all exams.

calc ab, bc, and us history.

well, im fine with my 3 in apush.. it was my worst subject..

Wait what how'd you take AB and BC?
Joannnnnne
I think that BC combines both the AB course and a higher level, so BC has two marks...?

Wait what how'd you take AB and BC?

They give you a grade based on the AB portion of your BC exam.

At first I was a little angry at myself, but I feel a little better.
A 3's good enough to place me into multivariable.
