Have tried searching for them? I use PSP, but I don't use masks, so without knowing specifically what you're looking for, I'm not of too much help.

yes I have actually. I keep getting the internet run-around. the effect is a way to kind of soften up or jazz up the edge of an image without using a frame if you don't want.
