Fist - Well I do agree that the "cute" image in music and appearance is getting really popular lately (even Shinhwa 2.0 Battle is doing it) in boy bands and female groups, but Rap, R&B and rock are still popular. I could say the same when it comes to jpop. :P

However, there are still popular bands that will break boundaries. IDK about kpop, but for jpop, M.O.V.E. still encompasses various genres like alternative, rap, rock, trance, pop, etc.


Se7en's off to a bad start when it comes to American music. I mean, I heard that he's been studying English and blah blah blah, but I barely hear him speak it, especially in that clip with Amerie with a behind the scenes of that song take control. Even Rain has very few lines in the Speed Racer movie, which didn't even make much money either -- quite sad. I haven't heard much about Se7en when it comes to news though. I'm still just listening to his old stuff because nothing has been appealing to me lately.

As for Big Bang - yea I see what you mean. But I barely listen to anything "American" anymore because lately things have been very lackluster to me, and no American music videos have appealed to me to even consider watching them on youtube either. Either way, I like the R&B + rap from Big Bang. I'm just tired of SM Town now, so it's nice to see groups from other companies/producers/whatever.

Amerie + Se7en in the studio - He barely spoke English to her, but that's good that he can understand her and translate. Regardless, I was hoping to see him speak more English but it only Amerie. :[

I haven't really heard much English from Rain, except from Speed Racer (which is not very much) and Stephen Colbert + from his songs haha. Se7en is doing much better because he actually has a song that's fully translated into English, at least. It is definitely smoother than Rain's. I take back what I said about Se7en's English. :]
