so the domain "http://heartquasm.org" is set to close in may 2009.
i feel really sad since "heartquasm" was my one true love and my favorite alias and i sort of dont want to see it go. but what's the point in keeping it around if i'm not doing anything with it?
so i guess my point is... does anybody have any suggestions for that site? is the name too personal to make it into something resourcey? should i keep it around to host subdomains?
i need an excuse to keep it because i really want to, but as of late it's just... sitting there.

Why would it be too personal to make a resource site? I like the name; it's cool. Besides, the name of the site doesn't have to match the URL. There are a lot of resource sites out there like that (
Junk&Trash,
Inivisus,
Appassionato, etc).
You could also make it your personal site, either a directory/network thing, and then have a subdomain for the resource site, like
Sapphyre Dreams and
Silver Cat. I guess it might be a bit pointless if you're not planning on having more than one or two sites, but I think it's better than just letting it sit there.

^ that's a good idea. I was thinking about making it into a resource site, but the problem is that most of the resource sites that really become anything worthwhile have myspace layouts and such, which I don't.
I guess I can always get a few people together who'll agree to contribute to the site's content.

I don't see anything wrong with turning it into a resource site. I mean come on I have Mango-Butter that is turning into a resource site..eventually.
You could always turn it into one of those resource sites that looks for a few staff, that have to contribute so much to the site within a week and they can update it and stuff like that. Easy way to keep a site alive.

No way!
Im sure the first person to make yahoo! would think its weird.
But now its a normal word!
I would suggest making sure thatwhatever u make it into that you like it/want to update it.
I had a myspace site: simplicitylayouts.com but I didnt like updating it or anything.
(really I just needed hosting to practice web design.)
But now I got wefuze.com and I love it!
I do personal and non personal stuff on it!

My Site is a resource site that doesn't have myspace layouts and I'm doing really well.
I agree with jcp just make it whatever you would like it to be.
