So I just decided that I wanted to work out its been a while. And while I'm running I can hear my ankles making a cracking sound and while I'm doing push ups the same sound. What can I do to fix the problem?

In the elbow, the ulnar collateral ligament can remain stiff from neglecting to warm-up properly, and your elbows will "click" on extension movements.

Another reason is that the fluid in your elbows can become trapped on one side of the bursa sac. When you extend, the elbow fluid will rush to fill the whole sac, causing a popping sound.

As in a bench press, your elbows should be withdrawn in during a push-up, into your sides. This is powerlifting, not bodybuilding, form, and is more kinesiologically sound.

When you start out running, you're more susceptible to shin splints. Uphill sprints are easier on your joints while being more taxing on your cardiovascular stamina.

Im not even running when I hear my ankles crack, Im walking down the stairs. Does it go for the same when i do push ups? My shoulders crack all the time.

^ When I was working out (Sadly, I haven't, because I'm healing from surgery sad.gif ) I would get a click in my ribs and it would be pretty painful. I don't think I'm the best person to use in comparison, because I lack cartiladge between my joints, so I have to find ways to workout around that issue. It's kinda gross, because my wrists crunch when I move them a certian way. The same with my hip.

My pinky fingers crack when I bend them and my ankle when I sit for a while and get up.

When I smash my legs with a rusty axe they seem to crack. Any ideas?

My left knee crunches even when i walk. Probably because i dislocated it/tore the ligament and cartiladge though.
my elbows do that too, but its not just when im excercising, it just happens whenever.
