I never thought I would get rubber boots but they actually look don't look too fugly on because they are more structured/heavy duty and have adjustable calves. Perfect for inevitable upcoming rainy weather...

Are adjustable calves on rainboots reeeeally adjustable? I have big calves so the last time I went rainboot shopping, none of them fit properly with pants on =_=. I would be willing to buy these if the buckle at the top was actually functional and not purely aesthetic.

I have big calves as well and tried on some Hunters today for size.. I don't think they are adjustable outwards and the unadjusted width just fit with straight leg jeans that I was wearing. I'm not sure how big your calves are for comparison, but yeah.. not quite as roomy as I thought they'd be. I think I'd only be wearing them with leggings anyway, though. But best to try them for yourself.
