Remember the days when we had contests, and they actually finished?


Well I would like to see this again, I hate how so many contests start and then they don't ever end. So I wanted to ask the community what contests you want to see start over again and end. In the resource center and the community center.


I would like to start making yearly lists and fill up the months for when which contests start, so the staff knows what contests are going on along with the community and when. It would also get more people here possibly to know what contests are happening and when they are. Also it will give staff plenty of time to get ready and find judges for each contests.

I'd be more than happy to start a new CBNTM, how long do those generally take Tung? And do you have a month when you would possibly like to see this contests take place?

Yes. We have both of them, but both have not finished, nor restarted.. we are trying to make things a little more organized

They're also colors that supposedly make you salivate that's why wendy's and mcdonalds have the colors... idk though, I heard that on the radio

I guess we could do a logo contests, but I wouldn't guarantee it actually being replaced with the one up now. We've had that one for a very long time.

Have something as small as a icon contest again, would bring more traffic through the RC possibly.

I feel stupid for asking, but what's CBNTM? (Or rather, what's NTM?)

Since the CB profiles are now customizable and everything, what about a CB profile contest for the RC? I wouldn't mind layout contests for Xanga, Myspace, etc. either.

you should definitely do more contests in the RC! (i.e. vector/vexel, colorizations, portrayal of a given theme, pixel art, type art, design, etc). i know i'd join one if i was interested and had the time.

The icon contest is a good way to get a more general based submitter demographic, since many people can do icons.

I like the idea of more complex design related contests, such as the ones Melissa mentioned. Perhaps after the icon contest, a vector one should occur.

Community based contests are really hit and miss, mostly miss from what I've seen the last year or so. I think that Arjuna has a photography one up right now.
