for photoshop users.

I can't stand the default workspace set up so i move around my boxes.

i always keep mine like this, and if it gets messed up i freak out. ;o

how about you?

I have it the default way.

I might have taken out a few boxes and put them into tabs so I could have a larger box for my layers.

But spacing isn't a problem for me, since I got a sexy widescreen :D

Not so much of an issue for me, I usually keep things pretty default-y. Like the person said before me, I take away a couple of boxes if I don't use them a lot. I usually just have the history, tools, layers, and navigation on.
manny-the-dino
lol.
well i just leave it the deafult way, i think.
i don't really change the style of it.
the only thing that really bothers me is that if the layers' section is too big or too small; it just has to be perfect! wink.gif
but here is how i have my ps.

hahaah yes i do. is that like a bad thing? meaning there are waaaay better internet servers out there?
venti-anemoi
^The latest version of IE (7, I think?) laaaaaags for me, so I switched to Firefox.

My setups is kinda defaultish too. Tools, layers, info, and text palettes are usually the only ones out (tools on left, everything else lined up on right).
highwayto4355
i keep my thing like that because i watch drama on half the screen and photoshop on the other. ;D that's how i get those "awesoeme" layouts. >:D

and then it lags and i didn't save and i cry. i mean what? whistling.gif
Melissa
I like my tools on the left, my layers/colors/etc on my right. I guess that's the default... in almost every single program I use.

Pretty much the same here. In fact, I usually Alt+Control+Shift while I boot it up.

oh i feel so lonely being the only freak who organizes her photoshop boxes to a custom workspace thing. pinch.gif
Aberisk
lol the more organized you are just shows how much smarter you are :]
highwayto4355
^ but the only reason i organize it is to watch porn dramas on the side. shifty.gif biggrin.gif

gahhha i arrange mine like a freak.
i dont have photoshop anymore cry.gif but when i did everything had to be JUST SO or i would go postal. now i have elements, and am basically the same way, except there's less crap to worry about organizing.

i am a very very perverted person. it might be the fact that it's in my blood to use sexual innuendos. eyebrowes.gif doesn't mean i'm admitting it though. ;] but it doesn't mean i'm not admitting it.

ok i'm confused.

i didn't know it was called 'workspace ' until i was trying to fix the snappin' zoom thing- but i've always arranged my photoshop work space to a specific thing to fit the needs of my drama watching;; it used to be different but i needed a few boxes and didn't need a few so i switched. i get attached and can't bear to move them. xD
Insurmountable
I actually use the default way, except I add a few more boxes in the work place usually. Depending on what I'm doing of course.

I'll try adding a picture when I get on my laptop.
loquat
Reading the thread title made me think it a tad silly, haha.. Why wouldn't someone arrange their workspace the way they prefer? I pretty much don't touch the toolbars and such; I like the default and generally freak out more when it's NOT default than when it is.
karmakiller
I'm a little OCD-ish when it comes to things like that. I use PSP, but it's the same way, I need to move things around. I do that with my computer, too. And the school's computers would drive me nuts, because there were only so many changes you could make. They also had it set so that certian changes you made wouldn't save and be there the next time you signed in. Drove me nuts!

not true.
loquat
^ Definitely agreed. Additionally, organized is such a relative term. One form of organization may work for one person but not for another. Blanket statements like that can be irksome. :/
