I'm just stating a fact, as Bishinobi stated earlier. Mexican food in America is usually the "watered-down" version of american food, and thus are never considered authentic mexican food, which is what this thread is asking about. Its just fast food. No need to get hostile. I never once said that I personally didn't like carne asada fries. Its one of the favorites in the Inland Empire, amongst my friends, neighbors, people I don't even know, etc.
What? If you go to the first post, the topic creator is LISTING places that they think have the best Mexican food. BTW you might want to re-phrase what I bolded, since that makes no sense. This thread is not asking about "authentic mexican food", but maybe you subconsciously assumed that it said that in the first post?

That's not my fault. Also, there was no need for you to point out that carne asada fries is not "authentic Mexican food", considering PLENTLY of Mexican fast food places that I go to (not Chipotle or other CHAIN FAST FOOD JOINTS). I just wanted to point out that I liked the carne asada fries that that place serves, since it's better than all the other Mexican places I've been to. But I've had other things at Lolita's as well.
And like I said, the topic creator is asking for places that you think have good Mexican food, not for us to go and pick out which foods are authentic and which are totally watered-down. As for hostility, there is no hostility, that's just the way I post. However you take it is none of my concern.
BTW If anyone's ever been to Old Town, they have some DAMN GOOD Mexican food (fine dining). ELBA - we should go to Old Town some time.

And yea Tony was telling me about these really good street tacos that he got in TJ. I want to go there, but I'm kind of scared.

But he says they're the best tacos EVER. Bring me back some, ho!
