I DONT HAVE A TITLE!? yar. another poem from 2 years ago following the villanelle format which is...

"A villanelle has only two rhyme sounds. The first and third lines of the first stanza are rhyming refrains that alternate as the third line in each successive stanza and form a couplet at the close. A villanelle is nineteen lines long, consisting of five tercets and one concluding quatrain." so confusing...

whipped cream smeared across the plate
gone is the missing slice in my mango moon *
you said you wouldn’t, yet you made me wait

oh ten and five years it has been, for today is the date
ingrained in my mind, it was the seventeenth of June.
whipped cream smeared across the plate

vividly I recall, with utmost detail, that 1988
you were my dentist, our appointment at noon
you said you wouldn’t, yet you made me wait

history repeats itself, for once again, you are late
though I admit, our first encounter made me swoon
whipped cream smeared across the plate

you wanted to make up for it, start a clean slate
yet now you say that you will be here soon.
you said you wouldn’t, yet you made me wait

extended the appointment, lunch. I said great.
tiramisu for dessert, we shared the spoon.
whipped cream smeared across the plate
you said you wouldn’t, yet you made me wait

* LOL, k I know most people who read it couldn't get that "mango moon" was a cake, so...yeah
superstitious
You actually did very well for having to stick with a format.
