For the Asian girls/women on this site has a guy ever called you stuck up or misleading? Just wondering, because I was having this conversation with my cousin, and we talked about characteristics of women of different races. He was saying how Asian women tend to be a little harder to get(relationship wise) and stuck up.

I thought about this for a bit, and I looked back on every experience I've had talking to an Asian girl/woman. Ironically some of the same patterns have happened in most cases. Like at times it'll end up to be they'll be into me slighty. Then it's always some bs excuse as to why they don't want to go any further. It never fails.. The ones I recall most are.. "my parents.. you fill in the blank." Then the one where they go with the other guy who treats them like crap to try to change them.

As my cousin said this.. it really had me thinking would an Asian male/female date a Black male/female, or is it something that wouldn't happen?

I dunno maybe it's because I'm Black, and in my area you don't see Asians and Blacks together. Even when I moved to a few other states I didn't see it either. Then I was thinking how Black people do get stereotyped sometimes by some members of the Asian culture. I had this one incident that sticks out. I was at this Chinese Buffet restaurant, and this Asian teenager kept staring at me like.. What are you doing here?? I guess I'm losing the theme of my point. I'm not looking to be bashed, nor am I looking for someone to say... You're a nice guy.. poor you, etc. I just want the truth.

i'm an asian girl and i used to have the biggest crush on this black guy. but due to bad timing and all, we couldn't be together. i don't think i'm stuck up or anything and if i like the guy, i'll let him know. but if i don't, i'll let him know so i won't lead him on.

i hate people like that, its not that hard just to let them know right away that there'll probably be no hope between them.

so to answer your question, i think it just depends on the person and how they think. i don't judge a person by how they look and i hate it when people do that to me. anyone and everyone could be together, it depends if they have that "chemistry". i know plenty of interracial couples, and asians with blacks are one of the many.

Up here, Asians date blacks all the time. Wait, Asian girls date black guys lol.

I live in a mostly asian community, so I really can't say anything. The few black guys get a lot of attention, but I've noticed that it's mostly from nonasian girls. Hmm, that's interesting... never really thought of it before.

Only time I seen an asian get with a black dude is in a porno. Haven't seen it in real life. I seen this one porno where this asian chick couldnt' handle it though. Dude was putting it on her and she says "MOMMY"!!!!

To be honest, I don't know enough black guys to know if I'm attracted to them or not. There are literally less than 20 black people in graduating class of around 500. I've also never seen an Asian girl date a black guy, but I honestly think this is just a matter of demographics. I'm sure if there were more black people here, it would be a more common site.

As for Asian girls being more stuck up...that's probably true. Culture's different. And our parents are extremely difficult. My mom once told me that she would disown me if I ever married a black guy. If that day ever came...I'd tell my mom to screw off.

/edit. anyways gigi's comment on the subject of being "disowned" is not far off from what my parents would do. they're quite close-minded about things although my dad does have an obsession with how wonderful mexicans are. he's always like "omg they work so hard and diligently, the chinese people are too crafty and sneaky" etc etc.

I don't have any issues with race as I live in a generally diverse area and come into contact with all sorts of people. actually, two of my most favorite people on this planet are black AND I LOVE THEM cause they are seriously the chillest people I know. understatement really. they are just so incredibly cool.

kinda weird but im asian and i do observe these kinds of things sometimes. i hardly see any black guy in this island. but since im more on hanging out at military bases, that's where i see the most black ppl. some r cute imma admit lol. as for asians being stuck up, i kinda of agree coz i think there r some that is... well no offense to other asians (i am asian too) i am not referring to all asian girls.... i think maybe most asian girls hav issues with "beating around the bushes" instead of gettin their point across, and they assume u'll understand them.

Keep trying. Face the facts. Yes, its true. Some just don't like black men/women. The same can be said for any race. Some just don't like some. Just keep on truckin'. Thats how I did it. Thats how my father did it. Thats how his father did it.

I'm an asian guy. &i know that there are a lot of prejudice people in our society. but a generalization can't be made cause well, its not really relating to everyone of that race, just the few who are prejudice.

&asian parents do have a reputation as being strict &all, i think that's why what "my parents blah" thing came up. &parents DO get racist at times. I WILL NOT LIE, i am COMPLETELY not racist, but, i do know some parent who are "racist." i know its horrible, sick, &disgusting. &these parents even kinda "brainwashed" their kids, as to believe that every person of that race acts a certain way &or whatever.

its so wrong for them to believe that, &even to pass it down to their own children. &there aren't THAT many black people in my town, or w.e., so my friends don't really know any black people. So, they can't really date any, cause there aren't any around here. haha.

I haven't seen another Black/Asian relationships since then, but then again, I don't have that many black friends here.

The closest I've been to being in a relationship with a black guy is one date.
Generally, I try to be up front with my feelings for a guy. I don't waste their time the same way I wouldn't want them to waste my time.

My grandmother is very racist. She has no problem using the N word anywhere. Good thing I don't see her anymore, cause she's quite a bitch.
My mom, well, when she sees a black person on TV, she'd be like, "Hey, Mel, it's your friend's cousin." or something like that. I just sigh and move on. There's not much I can do.

Oh! One time, we were at an Indonesian restaurant, and I talked about taking my friend with us next time [the one from the relationship above]. My mom said no because she thinks that the Indonesian people at the restaurant would stare.

Bottom line is, Asian parents are very strict and quicker to judge than other people. This means that once they're introduced to a certain stereotype, they tend to stick to that and refuse to budge.
Dating itself is a weird subject between parents and kids, and interracial dating is even more...complicated, so to speak.

I discussed this with my manager today, *we get really bored and talk about random shit* but we both agreed that you commonly don't see asian women or men with black girls or guys. It's just not known or seen around here, and if it does happen it must be kept on the down low.
