I propose that if a feedback topic directly relates to a staff member, that staff member cannot close and "resolve" the topic him or herself. This isn't to pick at anyone necessarily, but frankly there's no objectivity there, and it isn't right.

Alright, I can see where you guys are coming from.. and I will agree about this topic:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...p;#entry2926924It does kind of irk me that it is really similar, and I don't think she should have just moved it to resolved topics so quick. I would have to say, taking inspiration from another template or website is great. Its how all great designers start out, and from a quick glance the rest of the layout is almost exact, the only thing that is different is the header.
On staff, and going through the queue, we require all credit links to be visible on the layout. I can't see past the screen shot that Emberfly posted, so I can't even see if she added a credit section. I would have accepted it on the fact that she gave credit and a link to the image on what ever vector site she got the image from, and if she gave credit for the background images as well.
now for me to go to the other topic that was closed quickly.
Oh also, I do agree that when a topic is made about someone that that 'someone' should be closing it or doing any mod stuff. When things are about you, you take it more to heart and sometimes you just don't think about your actions to be honest. I think it should have been discussed more, and I don't think Trish should have made a reply that was a little harsh? mean? I don't really know, but just came to them in a calm matter. Like "I do understand how you feel, and I will remove the layout from createblog. Or give proper credit for it since the image wasn't copyrighted" at least thats if it wasn't.
Trish had a right to take down the Hollister layout because those are copyrighted images and even if you give credit we could still get in trouble for having those on our website.

x3^No, not that I know of. I've always been against it because then the community doesn't know what mods are online and from time to time will PM those who can't do anything about it. Like I'll get PMs concerning the community center because some people think I can do things there or something.
Anywayyyyyyyy.
About the other topic that was in question. The original question was actually answered. And if I would have seen it I could have told you guys that no we can't stalk you from the admin cp xD Anyway, other than that I can see why you guys thought it wasn't resolved because you still didn't get a clear explanation as to why the topics were removed completey within the 24 hours that you actually viewed them. I don't think there will be any right solution to that. Dani and Rebecca did take the time out of their days to try and look for your pictures and the topics in question, I think they tried and they explained that they were gone and there wasn't anything else they could do about it. They apologized, and problem solved. And Rebecca left it at if you guys had any other questions or concerns to feel free to PM her or Dani. You guys can assume what you want and all, but I do think that topic was resolved at best. and Elba if you didn't want it closed I'm sure if you had a valid reasoning as why it should be reopened Rebecca would have been more than happy to re-open it.

I said this in the original thread:
QUOTE
It's the
fact that the thread is gone, which makes it suspicious. Considering the fact that the topic was
harmless and it was made by me quite a while ago, I thought that admins/mods aren't supposed to delete those kinds of threads without permission of the topic creator. Although I am not accusing you (

Rebs), but whoever has the
incentive to do so obviously did so for personal reasons that should have been addressed to me and Elba.
Considering Trish tried to "resolve" this all with this kind of bullshit:
QUOTE(pandora @ Apr 4 2008, 08:10 PM)

mkay i'll see if i can find it.
moved to feedback.
Followed by a:
QUOTE(pandora @ Apr 4 2008, 11:58 PM)

*shrug* i dont know if things can actually be deleted from the trashcan, but i dont care anymore lol. believe what you wanna believe, and call mod abuse or w/e because im not a mod anymore starting tonight.
And after "stepping down", the topic is resolved, and then shortly afterwards, she's back on staff again.

QUOTE(misoshiru @ Apr 29 2008, 10:00 PM)

I wonder why a mod would need to sign in as invisible anyways. Most likely to avoid having to post in certain threads regarding certain events.

I'm short on time (as I said in my pm to Nicki a minute or so ago), since I'm at work. I know you guys hear that at lot, but it's a fact, I'm a full time employee and mom. Time is not on my side sometimes.
Anyway, where to begin -
Invisible mods. I am always invisible at work. It's an irrational paranoia of mine to be visible when logging on at work. I get home and I forget to log out then log back in visible. I'll do my best to remember to do that if it is something that important to people. xD
The first thread you guys are referring to, I honestly felt that even though things were left unanswered, both Dani and myself did everything we could to find out what happened to the deleted trash. There was nothing, nothing at all. No mod logs showed anyone deleting the trash, yet they are gone. Both Dani and I looked. I'm still befuddled by it. I think by now that most of you know that I do not like the idea of deleting threads period (unless it's advertising or a slew of spam fest topics...and I'm talking about back to back to back to back spam topics, not random ones). That is me though. I'm an edit-er. That isn't to say that if someone else feels differently, that'll just undo what they did. I think they deserve the chance to explain why and if it seems rational, I'll let it go. However, things in the trash are to NEVER be deleted. You can feel confident that current administration (ewww, that sounds too business like) will not delete trash can items.
So, second thread, the one from last evening. Oh boy. I think the reason why (in part, since I'm obviously not a mind reader) it was moved and closed was because Trish felt she had nothing more to say, hence resolved. I can't say that I agree with this. I'll be posting more on this on a bit, since I'd like to discuss this with her.

Was there really a rule against mods signing in as invisible? I was unaware of it, not that I do normally. I can just understand why people do sometimes and don't really see anything wrong with it. The only time I remember it being brought up was when we had some sort of suspicion that there was someone snooping backstage on another mod's account, and that was a long time ago.
Regarding the topic that was moved to resolved -
I personally don't feel like a topic is resolved until the member who posted it feels like it is. If a mod has nothing left to say, they can just stop posting there and at least let other people keep talking about it.
I'll address this more later, I've gotta go to band.

And I totally respect and thank you both for all that you've done. This is actually for me to call out Trish since she never answers any of this. In no way do I think that you two had anything to do with this. I just think it's stupid that she left with that BS, then comes back on staff as if nothing happened. Don't worry hun (not @ admins), "believe what you want to believe" and "avoid what you want to avoid".

If that rule has just been instated, then there is no need to go back and undo actions which were allowed at the time they were done.
If Trish doesn't want to answer 5290452 inane questions a day, she doesn't have to. You can post your Feedback, of course; that's what this forum is for. But nowhere is a there a rule which says that ANYONE has to reply, or take the blindest bit of notice if they don't think it's worth the time. We could easily turn this into a suggestion box, where people post, no one answers, we implement what we like and completely ignore what we don't. You're lucky that there are people here who care, and bitching and moaning all the live long day isn't going to help continue with that. Man. Up.

If no one cared about the topic, why didn't you just let it die like other topics people don't care about and at least give people a chance? It wasn't even open for more than a day. Fine, she doesn't have to answer "inane questions", but can't other people have their say? You make it seem like she's a god and she doesn't have time for us lowly people so she'll just delete us and whatever we bring up to her.

I dunno, I think if it's something specific, like that, then it needs a seperate thread for he amount of
bitching, whining, and general foolishness discussion that's likely to take place. Having it in the Mod Perf will end up cluttered, IMO.
