I really like that updo. I think you should go with that one. :] Or, here's one I want, but can't do because my hair is too short.

I did my hair like this because i got bored.
It's curled, clippd to the side and a small section off the top clipped back, although depending on if you hair is thick it would probably look better not clipped to the side!
hope i helped x

i think if your hair is long, you should straighten it and then do like a barrel curl at the long part. i love barrel curls. theyre cute.
& i believe it's nordstrom, that has this fabulous sparkly silver (comes in gold and black too, i think) clutch with a huge bow.
found a link!

Actually when I first looked at the dress I immediately thought halfup, half down so you're on the right track!
Your prom color coordinations were exactly what I did for my prom XD. But i think the one you chose is perfect :]
Quick thought though: Do not spend so much money doing your hair, it mainly for picture purposes only and if you dance a lot, it will become some sweaty hot mess at the end of the night.

OMG i have those exact heels, but in black. Too bad they kind of tore at one part. Still wearable, but those shoes are delicate! Nice dress, but does the dress hit you at the ankles, like it does for the model? I hope it hits higher on your leg because I think it would look nicer on you if it shows a little more leg. Just a little.
BTW, that hairstyle could work for you, but how heavy is your hair? It might be more difficult to put it up, since i noticed that the picture you posted has the hair more lifted in the back. But a lot of bobby pins and a bunch of hairspray might help. And I agree with Sammie (Flaunted) - they hair is just for pictures, so don't worry about it falling apart later.
