I am one of many victimized by this epidemic taking college students by storm. I gained a bit more than 15 lbs from this. So pls, let us come together to find relief for this epidemic

midterms --> stress --> eat --> stress more --> eat more.
:( it's a vicious cycle.

stop bumming out in your apartment or dorm, and study and while reading your book, bring it with you on the treadmill. thats what i do. two for one. study while working out. hahaha

I've gained thirty pounds this semester, but it was intentional, so college hasn't done anything for me.
Eat five small meals a day, do cardio, climb a volcano, etc.

yeah, when i was a freshman last year, i was really concerned about gaining that supposed 15 pounds. however, after seeing the not so good food choices, i think i ate healthier and learned how to fit some exercise into my school week.
just try not to have really unhealthy snacks in your room. since you obviously spend the most time there (at least, i do) it's easy to grab something while doing hw or watching tv and just mindlessly eat. and i find that taking a break to exercise is really rejuvenating.

Just don't give into temptations. Don't go out and drink a lot of alcohol... eat something before you go out to a party, so you can avoid the crappy food that they have there. Walk around campus, instead of bumming a ride. Go to the gym.

isn't dorm food all you can eat? that might encourage you to eat a lot, therefore gaining weight

when i moved to florida i weighed about 123lbs when i went back home in december, i weighed 110lbs
last i checked, a few weeks ago, i was at 116 lbs
i hope i up to 120 by now.
i wasnt sleeping at all last semester (which could prolly explain me being very active on cb then) i would go up to 304 days with out sleep...
i was also stressed cuz my bf had left me.

Son: I live at home with la familia & running while reading is not a good idea because I have terrible motion sickness

Tessa: I like that idea of execising while taking a break from hw

I believe that my main reason for gaining so much weight most likely had alot to do with my former eating habits--which was mostly non-exsistant(ate very little due to a depression stage).Of course I can't forget my bad eating habits once I started eating more on a regular basis.

I lost weight from starting uni - combination of having to walk everywhere, getting to cook for myself and doing a sports course. Keep the alcohol/takeaways in check, get out and about and it'll soon drop off.

Honestly, you can't expect to be the same weight you were in highschool. You are getting older, you're body will get larger. Deal with it.
