There might already be a topic on this but since I couldn't find it using the search, it wouldn't hurt making another one.

I love love love putting wasabi and eating it with my sushi. Its kinda my way of feeling "the rush" when it goes in my mouth and the fumes come out my nose. Haha...maybe its just me.

Who else likes wasabi?

Nope, it's not just you. Sometimes, I like to use a little too much wasabi on purpose just to make myself feel the "wasabi rush."

I think that's the only way to have it? o.O that's how me and my friends eat sushi at least.
And they're definitely best for stuffy nose, I actually keep the left over of wasabi in the fridge just for medical purposes. That or I just simply order sushi :P
I just tried eel rolls last night, I must admit... those are by far my favorite. I used to love Volcano rolls lol

I used to work at a Japanese restaurant as a hostess and I had to put wasabi in those little take-out cup things. It was so much fun - like playing with green play-doh (lol, I had to google how to spell play-doh).
But yeah, I used to hate wasabi but it's slowly growing on me.

Mmmmmm~ Sushi with wasabi soy sauce! :P
Anybody tried wasabi ice cream before?
It tastes like creamy wasabi without the heat in it. It was pretty nice!

lol, that's actually the non-Japanese way. If you actually go to Japan and go to a proper place to eat sushi, you're supposed to put the wasabi in between the fish and the rice, then dip it fish-side down into soy sauce. Although I've never liked that because then I just get globs of wasabi.
I hate the rush.
If you don't want the rush, just breathe deep through your nose and out your mouth. It'll be gone and you'll get the real taste of wasabi.

lmao
I remember once me and Josh were eating dinner and he was telling me how hot it was, and I kept denying it. Although I know it is sometimes but I didn't think it was as hot as he leads on all the time. So I took like a huge mouth ful of it and I started crying.
haha, I won't ever do that again.
I do enjoy eating with my sushi though :D

Mmm wasabi. Usually I just add some into the soy sauce that I am using -- although you're not supposed to mix it, which I don't anyway. I can only eat so much, since I am weak against spicy food, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE spicy food and spicy ingredients.

It does taste best with sashimi rolls, rather than cooked ones.

i've eaten so much wasabi, the heat doesn't even reach my head anymore. i no longer get that feeling that i got the year i first started having wasabi. i try so hard, taking spoonfuls at a time, the heat only reaches up to my nose ;o. the feeling's awesome when i have a cold though.

^ I barely eat wasabi though since I don't eat sushi that much and I have been cutting down on spicy dishes and any kind of spicy sauce. Or, at least, I try to. But I could not eat it every day. Just like you can't eat tenpura every day. =X Mm tenpura. ;x

lol i heard there's a tempura house somewhere in Japan, where they will tempura any food for you (I think you bring in the food though?). OH MAN THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. hahah
But anyways, yea I remember not having wasabi for a while and then when I put it in my soysauce again, oh man it was so strong. Haha but still good. ;]

I love the little wasabi bean things you can buy, like a snack food kind of thing. I really can't think what they're called.
And to whoever asked, yeah I've had wasabi ice cream before, they made it at work once, REALLY weird, but nice enough.
I do like wasabi, but can live without it. Mmm. Now I wish for sushi.

Oh you're Japanese? Cool! lol I took Japanese for a quarter at my college, but I slacked off and never went to class, so yea I didn't do so great. I don't remember much from it (took it like, fall 2006). But that's cool - I love Japanese food! :D Yea maybe I am a Japanophile -- I think that's the word for it.
Anyways back to wasabi - oh man, it really clears your nose if it's stuffy. I remember being kind of sick and I ate some sushi rolls with wasabi in my soy sauce and I felt better.

My bro and me were playing a truth or dare game one day and he dared me to eat a wasabi roll.
I literally had 5 inches long of rolled up wasabi rolled with rice and seaweed and ate it all down. I held my nose the whole time and swallowed everything. After that...I didn't have wasabi for a week.

I LOVE Wasabi!!!!
My mother and I were eating sushi one time and had a "how much wasabi can you handle" contest... and my brother walked in on us and about died laughing. My nose burned A LOT. I love the feeling though.
