Full Version: screen resolution problem

My screen goes kind of weird once in a while. It's like everything's... widened. What's supposed to be a circle is eliptical and a an image with a square will appear rectangular. Words are a little fuzzy, too, and everything just seems elongated. It's not so much of a problem, but it's really annoying and I can't do any art/graphic related things while my computer's acting like this.

This happens once in a while, but usually, it's fixed whenever I restart the computer. My computer recently just automatically shut down in class b/c battery was low. When I restarted it, it was fuzzy and no matter how many times i shut it off then turn it back on, it remains fuzzy.

Someone told me to check the resolution, so I did and it doesn't seem to be the problem (1024x768). Changing it doesn't help.

So you're using a laptop? Since you said you used it in class. I've never come across this problem, but I suggest taking it in to get fixed, or something might be damaged. I mean, when my niece dropped her laptop, the processor slowed down and whatnot. She even reformatted and it was still significantly slower. sweating.gif

Hopefully the LCD isn't failing. D:

The only things I can think of are Degaussing the screen but I don't think Laptops have that options.
Or just play with the screen resolutions by going to Properties --> Settings and messing with resolutions.
