None of my trackers are recording any hits, or showing any previous hits.

I checked some others, and they're also not showing up.

They got wiped clean when the server was down yesterday, aparently they reset.

Which sucks cuz we had proof of someone using two active user names.

Ehh I stopped using the tracker months ago. It served no purpose for me. What am I really going to do with a list of IP addresses?

They aren't even recording new hits? Or are just all your old ones gone?

alright tama, seriously drop it. i know for a fact that rebecca spent a REALLY long time checking IPs and cross-referencing, and there are no frigging matches.

the tracker does not work the way you think it works. it only tracks the ips, leaving the identity of the person anonymous. later, if someone recognizes an ip, they can choose to "identify" it and they pick between a myspace, xanga, blogger etc account and they have to fill in the username. there is no "cb account" option so you wouldnt even be able to tell who it was on cb unless you knew their myspace/xanga account.

now let me make something very clear to you... an IP in the tracker can only be identified by one person at a time. so what are these "two accounts" you're referring to?

Tung is the man to speak with. He brought it to my attention and I told him that I knew it was true.

Tung doesn't even know wtf he's talking about, nor would he have the means or access to find out.

Tama, you visit my site.
I look at my tracker and say "hey, that looks like Tama's IP."
I click on it.
It takes me to a new page where I can identify it as anyone I want.
I put what site I want to identify it by (xanga, myspace, website, whatever) and then put in the username.
ANYONE CAN IDENTIFY IPS ON THE TRACKER! IT'S NOT LIKE THE FORUMS WHERE YOU CAN LOOK IT UP AND SEE WHOSE MATCH!

If you need proof, I'll go change who owns my IP right now.

Listen.. I'm not the one who even witnessed this evidence. Tung told me about it... how did he know that both usernames were under the same IP address? I have no effin clue.

I fully understand how the tracker works... I just don't know how Tung got the information. Ask Tung. All I did was agree with Tongue because I find it really odd that a there's two people, with active accounts who type EXACTLY the same with the same immature-type posts who say the same shit repeatedly.

the tracker stats were reset because it took around 9gb of db space. orginally it was supposed to reset at the end of every month, but didnt becaues of a bug. this will be done in the future, with the individual logs being reset at the end of every month.

another side note is.. all the tracker issues should be fixed now. so if youre having trouble with your tracker (ie not all hits are logged), delete it and set it up again. this should make everything work again.

Yeah, I forgot about this thread, it started working later that day. I forgot that it used to reset, I just found it awkward to be all erased.
