Well I think it's fine bumping old threads, especially if it means that it will prevent people from making duplicate topics. Of course, even if that happens, mods should merge them anyways.

I usually don't mind bumped threads unless they are very dated. For example, if someone bumps a thread in which the topic starter is asking for time sensitive advice (ie: "What should I wear to prom?", when cleary the prom was over a year ago).


Well, who is to say what is and isn't interesting? ;) And I completely agree regarding merging threads. That's what I try to do, at least.

I've already requested that you guys as moderators or/and administrators to do an IP check on this person... you guys have failed to do so and have yet to realize this guy uses two different usernames and both are active. Only thing I was told was, "he changed his username". Do an IP check and ban this troll.

I have another person who can agree with me, and if you read this thread, please do me a favor and bring this up to superstitious' attention.

I seem to remember doing IP Checks on him on several different occasion. Just because you have a hunch doesn't mean you should expose it or act on it, and it certainly doesnt mean that it's true. I suggest being a little less paranoid, and a little less interested in how other people choose to conduct themselves, and a little more interested in the way you conduct yourself.

That's funny... people's trackers are showing he's on two different usernames with the same IP address... and this was coming from someone reputable.

Why don't you do your job as a mod and investigate instead of havin this troll annoy us with stupidity. And again disregarding my request.

Last time I checked, IP Addresses don't get "identified" based on createblog accounts when using the tracker.

Hmm, this is quite interesting.

Lemme just say, the "evidence" of the tracker is now gone, and can't be shown to "prove" that they are the same people because after the crash this morning, all tracker logs have reseted and isn't there anymore.

Although it would impossible to match IPs if say one account used the real ISP, and the other accounts goes on a proxy.

well, some of them. some are pretty interesting and worth posting in. however, the ones that are boring and uninteresting needs to stay in the past.

Well, it's always good to search before you make a topic. But if the last post in that topic was made one or two years ago, just go ahead and make the topic. People that don't check dates on the posts are going to end up quoting and replying to people that aren't here anymore. Plus, after the whole thing this summer, there's lots of accounts who info stuff on the left doesn't show up, because their account got deleted.
