i need a simple blogging script (or whatever) that can be 100% customizable, design wise.
i've figured out PHP, so there's no problem with getting it uploaded and working and such. i just need something easy to manage, and completely customizable.
all help appreciated, of course.

Cutenews is really good for beginners, and you can customize it pretty well so it can look more professional like WP. There's also
FanUpdate which is more for fanlistings but works with blogs too, but I've never tried that yet.
