Elba, that person didn't go into someone's personal files to take that picture. That person didn't blast someone's personal photograph all over the forums. Your argument isn't valid. She was verbally warned for posting nudes. I will take the next step if the poster continues. This isn't even close to being the same thing.

Look, guys, I KNOW that this is frustrating, that it seems like what the f**k? Right? Why all of a sudden are we perma banning people. I get that frustration because I didn't get it at first either. I thought ban, sure, but perma? Holy crap what is THAT about?

But here's the thing. It's not so much that this punishment was drastic, it's that our historical ways of punishing were lackluster, to say the least. People shouldn't be posting that kind of crap and even now, I think a verbal warning was wimpy. But, here's the difference. It's not about Trish, it's not about a staff member. This could have been anyone. If someone had taken the time to seek out someone's personal pictures and blast them repeatedly around the forums that will get a much, MUCH stricter and harsher punishment than someone who posts a random nude picture they found on google images or something.

The severity of punishment will coincide with the severity of the crime (so-to-speak).

I have A LOT on my plate now but I am working on a clear set of guidelines that will make things even across the board, again, depending on the severity of the offense.

That is not at all a good enough answer and I know very well that many of you will still be frustrated. Unfortunately I am one person with an already very full plate so I am asking you to please be patient.

Not really complaining, but just ranting here. I posted a nude rick rolled site a few days ago, and I was put on Mod Preview for two days right away, without a warning or a verbal warning. Just wondering why I had the harsher punishment for practically doing the same thing like this girl.

Because I was a moron. Honestly, that was retarded of me.

We're still working on getting things very clearly stated regarding specific guidelines that will address this type of situation. Moving as fast as possible.

lol I could rat out 4 more people who were/are involved with spreading nudes across this forum. Personal pictures as well... I'm just not gonna snitch, yet.

Spreading the pictures via PM, or on AIM, is sort of different than actually posting them on the forums and making threads about it. Unless, these 4 people did actually post the images?

The issue is that no community that allows under 18 visitors to use the site should allow that sort of content to be posted. All it takes is one angry parent to get this site in a lot of trouble, and we won't let that happen.

Also, even if our visitors were predominantly 18 and older (and they are most certainly not), we are a resource site, not a porn site. Those who wish to see that type of content may kindly look somewhere else.
