Well, I don't have a religion. For cliche reasons.
(yes, I read the question. I just felt like replying.)

Apparently Taoism is classified as a religion, but it's more of a philosophy in my opinion.
Either way, I try to follow the basic principles of Taoism because they often make me happy and keep me from going all manic depressive. Life is fresh and interesting and the littlest things amaze me. It's really as simple as that.
It's not a crutch, rather it's a lens through which I can see more clearly and fully appreciate the world, my life and everyone in it.
In addition I'm an atheist, which confuses stupid people, because YES, I can be both, Taoism consists of no wacky theological bullshit.
Yeeeaaah.
Hope 16 counts as young.

this isn't even a f**ken debate. it's merely an answer to if you have a religion and explain why you believe in it. move this f**ken trash topic to the sandbox.

i got baptist as a catholic wen i was a baby (mom's idea). then wen i turned like 9 or somethin, my grandma did the born-again stuff so she got baptist as a christian then she made me do it, for some reason im sooo fekking pissed off bout it. so now im a christian. i dnt effing care though. wen i got to 12yrs old. i became an altar server for 2 years in a catholic church and i liked it. im still a christian but i dnt care bout it. i dnt go church or watevr. i feel like i dnt hav a religion, but i do respect the idea that there is a god. idk if there is a god but i do respect the idea since a bunch of ppl think there is. i juss think though that church is for ppl who dnt kno how to manage their own life that they hav to follow someone's way of teaching. it's like having a weak mind. so i guess as years go by, my idea of religion juss changes.

Yeah, I don't think this fits too well in Debate, but I'm gonna reply anyway.
So I'm Catholic, since my parents are Catholic, and I guess I just grew up with it. At times I've been tempted to break away from it, but I get back into my religion cause of all that I've learned about it in my life.

Islam. Most accurate, no parables, impossible to take out of context unless you're trying to fool the dumb, deaf, and blind, or there's an author who re-created a different version of it in which is full of fake quotes. Above that, it promotes meditation, science, and mathematics as tools to reveal the divinity.
Over all I believe in all religions as well as mysticism as long as they hold authenticity. I label myself a Pantheist.

Abrahamic. Which many Muslims would actually consider me being Muslim since it's the last major religion spawning from Abraham.
My relationship with God comes from the heart however as I do not follow many rules and have my own interpretation of how things are.

I'm a Christian, my denomination is African Methodist Episcopalian. I believed in Christian faith initially because my family did, but after seeing God work in my life, my faith has become stronger. I am African Methodist Episcopalian for reasons relating to African American history.

I'm not religious persay, but I'm a spiritual person - if that makes much sense.
In my view, God did not create Man - Man created God. There is easy to see a divinity in all life, however.

Wiccan. I don't really consider it a religion so much as a cult, and most people call it worshiping the devil. But whatever.
I'm Wiccan because its a religion of peace, meditation, and harmony with nature. It reflects my beliefs so much better than Catholicism, Buddhism, Islam, or any other religion.

Yeah I'm down with Sufis.. (Muslim Mystics/Jinns or what you may call Wiccans) They promote meditation, study of white and black magic, peace & love with nature as well :P
Same with Judaism, the Kabballah teaches mysticism as well. But not that modanna (sp?) version though =\

Thats true about teaching the same thing. But I always had the impression that Muslim was against Paganism. Oh well. I guess were all misinformed in some subject.

lol yeah if they're not God believers
People believe that using magic is satanic and evil. They just haven't studied the biology of it.

Instead of using the magic energy around us. I'd rather use my own ki/spiritual energy/chakra. Seems more stable.

I fully agree. Our own energy is as powerful as universal energy whether it's light or darkness.

I'm Catholic.
I'm very open about my beliefs.
When I was younger, I never used to go to church often, but now I go as much as I can.
I follow the religion because it gives me a second chance if I do something wrong, and I like my relationship with God(:

1.Because when i decided to give christianity a try things got better for me.
2.Because even if heaven isn't real (I believe it is) why not? i mean why chance going to hell.
3.I went to church to hang with my friends and they said that hell was "Darker than dark, there isn't any fire, its just so humid that you get blisters all over your entire body, and you have no choice but to scream because of all the pain, when you lose your voice from screaming you still scream, every sin you have ever commited will be running through your head for the rest of eternity, and demons will feed on you."
