1and1's name makes me think SQL. You would need that for profiles and such.

I would just recommend getting a host with Cpanel:] try hostii.net because if your site is going to have forums and content management systems like Drupal and Joomla then I recommend getting Cpanel if you can, dont use hostgator they SUCK, I use hostgator for my parents company site and they ssuck for the amount they charge

1and1 has bad customer support. My friend has a domain from them and their customer support for ANY problem SUCKS. They also sometime crash as a whole (their site, domains and everything) and that's another bad.
BlueHost is good. I've heard a lot about it on sites but never known anyone who uses it.

I have 1and1, and I don't have any problems. I have never had a problem with customer support. I've called them, and I haven't had to wait on the phone more than 10 minutes.
My servers were done for 2 hours, and they credited by account for the downtime. It was only something like seven cents, but they still made an effort.
I don't know why you all say it sucks.

Well I mean I have 1&1 and of course I know what I'm doing so I don't actually have to ask for their customer support. xD
And I've called them before and they helped me just fine, and I've sent them e-mails and they always reply back.
Godaddy sucks with customer support >_> My friend used them and I had to talk to those people on the phone, I swear they don't know what their talking about.
