Since the running of Hillary Clinton, I was wondering if any other woman would make it to the process of running and the posistion of the Oval Office.
I know many supporters of Obama say that Hillary would not make a good president, but like the idea of having a woman as President. So, what would you think of Oprah as a President? Thoughts on any of that process.
You can also elaborate if you do/do not think Oprah would be a good President, who would be?

helping people still doesn't qualify you to run this country.
being a popular poster or not being asian (

) isn't why people are disagreeing. it's because of your suggestion that a rich talk show host should run our economy and military.
if you think it's a good idea then support your claim and tell us why you think so. that'll be a big improvement. it is after all the debate forum.

ok.
Oprah, on one hand has the resources to help her own economic decisions. Look at her status now. She knows how to run money. Also, if she couldn't do it by herself, then she could find the help to do it.
Military wise, why would she need to run it. She is all around an amazing communicator, and can settle differences.

I doubt as a talk show host, she has any political aspirations. I have never seen anyone of the sort on her show, ever. She doesn't strike me as the type of person to run campaigns or even have any interest in government affairs. She's a person who is run by emotions and impulse, not logic. Have you seen her show that premiered her road trip with her best friend? She can hardly do anything for herself without the help of others.

Honestly though, I don't think Oprah would make a very good president. And everyone's pretty much covered everything... I can't see her making any wise military decisions ("Let us be friends!" is what I see her saying), and Oprah being a great motivational speaker has nothing to do with her leadership skills.
(btw, whenever I think Oprah, I think of MadTV making those brilliant imitations of her)
But I still stand by what I said about her giving away gifts. But whatever, I'm not American anyway.

If Obama wasn't running I'd be pro Hillary; she's a very smart woman & she has a few good issues that she'd like to address as president but I just don't like the way she ran her campaigning; I don't stereotype this election by race or gender because I could honestly care less...Moreover, Oprah is one of my favorite icons but I don't think she should run for president. She's a wonderful woman as well and has done so much with her success and I think she's doing fine with what she's doing and plans to do & I know presidency isn't one of them. Her endorsing Obama was great though.

That statement sounds so racist; many black people would beg to differ, alot of people hate me for liking her because they say she helps all the white people & she put her school in Africa instead of America...and if you watch her show, you'd know that most of the guests are equally mixed between whites and blacks and other and a lot of whites have benefited from her show and more whites support her

For real. Nothing against the blacks, but I didn't see 10,000,000 whites packed into the football stadium asking for help, nor did I see stories of white families traveling across the country to find shelter and help. Therefore, freeridefight's argument towards Oprah helping white people has nothing to do with how many cars she gave them or how she helps all races. To be fair, we don't need a president who just hands out money and acts like it's charity.
